it a small place so it’s quiet and peaceful. elevator is quick to come and pool area is small but nice. they offer boogie boards for beach or pool and chairs and towels. Staff is wonderful. rooms are clean and cozy

Always hard to review a 3.5 star hotel as I usually try to stay in 4 star hotels but we had 4 rooms so went for a cheaper hotel. This hotel is noisy especially street fronting rooms. Half of us faced the pool which was better but still a lot of noise in Waikiki in general. We definitely had a nicer room as our son’s room smelt musty and ours didn’t. Our bathroom floor was dirty on arrival and still had hair on it and around toilet bowl was dirty. I cleaned it myself. Overall we had a pleasant stay but it’s a shame as with a few minor changes the hotel could be a lot nicer. It needs someone with an eye for detail to improve lobby and around the pool as these areas are basic and definitely no effort put into making them nice spaces.

The staff here are awesome super friendly and really accommodating. The location is perfect, you’re right in the middle of all the big name stores and just a short walk to the beach. Overall, great spot at a great price. Definitely recommend.

Showing its age

Polynesian is located at the begining of luxury row, so they are well situated. The property is showing its age. We've stayed 4x in the last 6 yrs. But this might be our last. Unless they have a remodel. Currently they might have the lowest resort fee in town.
