Disappoinment

Buyer beware of hotels that don’t allow cancellations a month before the stay or at all, as was the case with this place. If you have luggage be aware that there is no help, or even a dedicated parking space in front of the hotel to unload. After making 3 try’s, we were finally able to park 3 business away in front of Tommy Bahama in the loading zone to unload. The parking lot that they make you pay $35 a night for is 2 blocks away. The lobby smells weird, the room we were given was hot and smelled like corn chips with filthy carpeting. The hotel furniture looked like something you would find discarded on the curb. The bedding consisted of 2 flat sheets covering an old blanket. The box spring wasn’t even covered up under the mattress, it was fully exposed There were 4 twin pillows for the king sized bed. And in the morning when we went to shower the bathroom light strobed so it couldn’t even be left on. The soap shelf had black mold on it, and don’t bother trying to work in this room, because the internet is so slow everything just lags. An absolute nightmare with a $20 resort fee they will casually charge you when you arrive and let you know it was because you booked through a 3rd party. The geographical location is in a decent place , but for all the nastiness and inconveniences do yourself a favor and stay across the street at the Marriott Vacation, if you really need to stay at this part of town.

Great staff, close and accessible, clean rooms and amenities. You will see its wear but it is a well maintained hotel. Definitely an option for those that need to use a microwave. Also option to do coined laundry as well. It's a decent hotel for the amount you pay around Waikiki.

Great staff, clean rooms and pool, and great location for a hotel. Self serve laundry is available and availability of beach towels/chairs/beach toys are all there. Don't expect this place to be a 4 star hotel, it is a place for what you paid for but it's a solid hotel.

Great service at the front desk but disappointed with our stay. When arriving I had no idea where to park. I did call and the person had me to come to the front desk and get a parking pass. I was shocked that parking was off premises; I would probably not booked if I had known this. The room was not great, a lot of deferred maintenance.

My overall stay was enjoyable. The room was large and comfortable and it was great to have a small balcony overlooking the lovely pool area. I did have concerns about the cleanliness of the room, which have been noted by other reviews.

Great location. Walking distance to trolley locations, beach, shops and restaurants. Rooms with two queen (AUS double) beds are sufficient for four people. Kitchenette room had cooktop, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge, plus hairdryer, tv and what appeared to be recently modernised bathroom. Pool was nice. Will consider staying here again.

Housekeeping needs more attention

All the stuffs are good especially at the front desk ladies. A young Korean lady who was there on 03/09 when we were checking in along with next few days and a middle age Philippina in the morning of 03/13 when we were checking out. However, housekeeping has and issue. Found unwashed coffee cup with stain, (that happen in every hotel no matter how much you pay. You need to bring your own sanitizer to clean most of areas), underneath of bed with dust and found someone's black bra... This was our 3rd time staying there but obviously showed wear and tear this time. Our room had a small kitchen unit but no sponge nor dish soap. I had to ask housekeeper to give us minimum tools. Some bath towels were ripped. I like the location. It is just the end of main Waikiki busiest area but everything is closed by. Regarding "Resort Fee", it stated $20.00 per night that is without local tax. Adding General Tax of 4.712% and Transient Accommodation Tax of 13.25%. I may missed read on Hotels.com but it is always nice to add all the necessary tax information as well. And needs to pay $100 refundable incidencial deposit at the time of checking in.

The Polynesian residence was in a great spot right on the main street, of Waikiki. Close to restaurants bars, also a short walk to the beach. The room was clean tidy bathroom spacious enough. Bus top around the corner to Ala Moans shopping Mall. We enjoyed our 7day stay, staff were polite helpful pleasant. We have no complaints, , definitely stay there again avery convenient location. There was a huge mold problem in the bathroom. It stunk and getting ready in the morning made me want to vomit. This is an unsafe place to stay; if it were a restaurant it would be shut down. I’m not sure how they are allowed to continue operating, but I plan to reach out to the appropriate governing body to have their facilities investigated. I will never stay here again and if you value your health, you shouldn’t either.

We had very good stay

Very good location, short walk to beach and stores are right there. Some review says about noises from street but didn’t bother us, room was good size and comfortable bed. Front attendants were friendly and very helpful. Renovated bathroom had bidet that was important to us. Couple of things that could be improved are: installing a hook on the bathroom door for hanging used towels or clothes, small shelf inside shower stall to put soap etc on. I saw that some rooms have kitchenette so if we were staying longer next time reserve it for sure.

I booked a room with 2 double beds off of Expedia. I don’t think I have ever come across a hotel as dirty as this one. Specifically, the bathroom. It was in terrible condition, completely outdated than what was shown in the pictures. The shower doors were moldy and not clean at all. The sink kept getting clogged, it was disgusting. When I went to open the balcony door, I saw blood stains on the curtain. All night I heard the traffic chaos outside, I barely slept my whole trip. Honestly very disappointed in the stay and do not recommend for anyone trying to have a clean, comfortable stay. The only positive was the outdoor pool, it was somewhat clean. They showed us a different room but it was also in terrible condition. Housekeeping came to our room, and “cleaned” the bathroom again with just a washcloth. No cleaning products, nothing. Very disappointed overall
