The staff was very nice but to be honest the hotel was not clean, very old and rundown, needs better cleaning and renovation. For what I paid I would have expected much better.

The best part of this hotel was the staff, super nice, but the establishment itself is extremely outdated and old. Even though it’s clean, I still found some roaches in the restroom, but at least no mold. The pictures really don’t show how outdated and old it is

I loved the area room was clean, love the beach view, I didn’t like the staff member that was working at my check in time, she didn’t give me more information on how to get to my room, I couldn’t find my way up to my room, the walkway was so tight she didn’t help me to show me where the elevator was, until I went back and asked, I was very disappointed at her. I wouldn’t stay there anymore or recommend it to anyone I know because of what i experienced.

I recently stayed at the Royal Grove Hotel for a week and left with very mixed, but ultimately positive, feelings. This isn't your modern, sleek Waikiki resort, and it doesn't pretend to be. Think of it more as a classic Hawaiian throwback with incredible heart. The Downsides: The Rooms Are Dated Let's get this out of the way first:the rooms are old. The décor is straight out of the 80s/90s, with patterned carpets and furniture that has seen better days. The air conditioner in our room was quite loud, and the bathroom was functional but very basic. If you're looking for a luxurious, modern room with high-end finishes, this is not the place for you. You're paying for a place to sleep and shower, not for a resort-style experience. The Outstanding Upsides: Why You Might Still Love It 1. Location, Location, Location! You simply cannot beat this location.It's just a 3-minute walk to the world-famous Waikiki Beach, and you're surrounded by an incredible array of restaurants, shops, and cafes. Everything you could want is right at your doorstep. The convenience factor is a massive plus and saves you both time and money on transportation. 2. The room was in quite an uncomfortable position. We had a window in the wall our bed was against and it led to a hallway, also exactly where an elevator was, so every now and then we heard people come and go just a couple feet away. That window was also broken so we had no way to shut it. The bathroom wall was extremely thin and I could clearly hear my hotel neighbor’s activity when in the bathroom as well.
