Hotel very outdated although they said the hotel was renovated??? Bathroom super small with no fan and no magnify mirror and horrible lighting. The elevator wasn’t working properly the entire time we were there. At one point we were forced to use the service elevator. The restaurant is not good at all. We waited a long time (like 2 hours) for dinner that was over-cooked and dry. Location is good. Close to everything.

Nice & Casual

The hotel overall is nice, but rooms are smaller, especially the bathroom vs. newer hotels. However, the interiors have been updated and the property has been nicely maintained. No formal dining, everything is casual, which was perfect for our visit and they are linked to other close hotels where you can dine if you choose to. We were on the 11th floor which had a decent view of the ocean and overlook the historic Moana hotel. the elevators where being services which caused an occasional delay, but was manageable with the ones not being serviced and access to the service elevator. overall, happy with our stay :)

I loved the gentle Old Hawaii atmosphere. My room in the tower had a lovely view of the ocean and was tastefully and comfortably decorated. The staff are outstanding in every way. It was my first time at The Kaiulani. I've stayed at The Sheraton Waikiki and several other hotels, but in the future will choose The Kaiulani.

The worst time in Honolulu ever

The hotel is a disaster ! The elevators are all broken or “under renovation” so the wait was literally 20 min at times. The walls were paper thin even in the high renovated tower. Room was small, sea view was ok until night when the road noise and music blasted into the room. The food at the pool side restaurant was AWFUL and the breakfast was a 30 min wait to get a table. The hotel is in a shocking condition , it feels like it’s about to close. There is nothing good I can say about this hotel , it ruined our stay in Honolulu. Stay away at all costs !
