Our vacation stay with Hilton Grand Islander was truly awesome. From the beautiful property areas to the cleanliness of the rooms, and most especially to the staff have made our stay in Waikiki a special one. Would highly recommend this place to family and friends.

Staff was amazing, grounds are so beautiful. The shops and restaurants on site are so convenient. Lots to do in the area and walking distance to so much more if you need it. Loved having access to all the different pools or the lagoon and beach.

Grand Islander was absolutely wonderful. Staff assisted us with a well appointed room since the “loud” people on strike were being so noisy. In spite of them we loved our room & view. Definitely would stay there again.

Staff was on strike so the money i spent for the amenities did not match. Rooms weren't ready for a lot of guests because they were so short staffed and simple things like towels weren't readily available and had to get it yourself. I don't care about that but when you spend that type of money you would hope its included. Other than that, Hawaii was beautiful! But if i knew about that strike i would have booked else where.

The property did not notify us that there was a huge worker’s strike going on at the time of our visit. No housekeeping services, no valet, no frontdesk until 12 noon, no one answering our phone calls. It was a nightmare.

We arrived the day the property went on strike. It was HORRIBLE. Half the amenities were open, and the half that was open wasn't serving everything. None of the pool bars/dining were open. We woke up everyday to strikers protesting by 7 am. They woke us up by bullhorn and didn't stop till after 9 pm. We didn't get offered anything for dealing with it. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The Grand Islander by Hilton Grand Vacations in Waikiki is highly rated for its spacious, apartment-style suites equipped with full kitchens, washers/dryers, and large balconies, many with ocean views. The property offers family-focused amenities, including a kids' club, a pool, and access to the larger resort's spa. Appreciate the sleek, modern decor and the resort’s beachfront location near popular Waikiki attractions. However, some mention the high resort fees and expensive parking as downsides【7†source】.

Chaos outside, beauty inside.
It is part of a huge compound and was very hard to find. The hotel check-in/bag drop driveway is nearly impossible to find. It took 2 hours to drop bags off, check in, park, and get back to room. The parking lot is one large structure for 6 hotels and was almost always full and chaotic. The pool and beach was a long walk away (10 mins) and you have to walk through a large bazaar open to the public. This aside, the room was wonderful, the staff helpful, and the stay nice. This would have been 5 stars but the learning curve was a nightmare and deeply frustrating. An email from the hotel explaining this would have been a great idea….
