The rooms and bathrooms are old. The rooms still have carpeting. The bathrooms need to be updated. The toilets are not ADA complient. I will not stay there again. Staff is rude and not very friendly. They talk about guests behind their backs. I heard this several times. The hotel has classes you can take at no additional charge. The catch is, you must sign up for the classes but the staff doesn't tell you this. I missed out on the lei making class because the staff didn't tell me I had to sign up for the class. I was very disappointed.

Paradise found!

Property is very clean, as was the room. Staff very friendly, housekeeping does a great job and their are friendly & responsive. Pool is clean, wish there was a hot tub. Breakfast was very good, it’s not expansive but has enough to start your day. Beach is only a block away and it’s convenient to restaurants and the many ABC stores. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff at Waikiki resort hotel were so helpful and kind. When there was a threat at a tsunami, ALL of the staff was so kind and caring, even the house keeping staff checked on us. We felt very well cared for.
