I was sent texts welcoming me up to a couple hours before I arrived for my reservation only to find that the hotel was CLOSED after a 12 hour drive and I had no where for me and my daughter to sleep late at night. The hurricane that had moved through a couple days before meant several places were closed (though others were not). A heads up that we’d be without a place to sleep would have been nice BEFORE we drove all the way there. Good thing Walmart’s parking lot is open.

Checked in with no greeting from the guy at the front desk. No hello no nothing. Told him I had reservations and he just proceeded to process everything asking for credit card and so on. SO BASICALLY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! Then when I got ready to bathe my children I seen the tub was molded.

beds were comfy.. a/c worked great.. carpet was nice and clean.. towels were thick and fluffy.. liked the fridge & microwave.. also the window seat was bonus.. staff was friendly.. my downsides were i never stayed in a microtel before so was surprised there were no closets.. my room was missing the desk chair.. and the handle for the shower would come off easily.. if you use the do not disturb sign and even though you take it off by 7am housekeeping will not clean your room.. and when i did not use the sign the next night housekeeping still did not clean the room.. was inconvenient to have to get fresh towels & washcloths every night as well as not having trash taken out & having to stack it on the floor around the can.. oh and if you swim and use the hotel towels you have to leave them by the pool and get new ones at the front desk.. i understand this is because of people stealing the towels but still inconvenient.. overall my stay was fine..

Staff was great and room was a good value. The only criticism is that the fitness room was still closed due to “Covid.” That is absurd.
