It was a lovely place, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the food at the restaurant was really good. I would have stayed longer if I had more time this trip.

Unfortunately a very disappointing stay and waste of money. The staff were very nice and the surrounding area was beautiful, which is the only reason it’s not a one star. We stayed one night and for $625, it was the worst value of money I’ve ever spent when traveling. The room (mainly bathroom) smelled of mildew/must. There is one tiny vent in the bathroom that clearly can’t handle showers. There is no window so there is nowhere for the moisture to go. When you shower, the walls become soaked with moisture. We had to open our front door and air out the unit after showering. There is no shower pan so water gets all over the floor and splashes everywhere. When you crawl into bed, you can feel the wood underneath as you lay and there were a few stains on the sheets (not a huge deal as I’m guessing they use bleach), but still not the best to lay on. Lastly, the skylight at the top is filthy and not cleaned. That was one of the draws for us and you can’t even really see through it. I know they’re not going to clean it all the time, but it shouldn’t look that way for $625/night. I feel bad for posting this review because the people were nice, but it’s simply way overpriced and a waste of money. Try to stay in Flam or Bergen.
