Very close to the train station. Large towels were provided unlike other hotels in Taiwan. There was a drinking water fountain on every floor.
Overall, this is the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. The room is dirty and old. Hotel staff is rude with no knowledge of there is breakfast provided in the hotel. No soap available to wash hands and mineral water provided. The bathtub is high up and slippery with the danger of falling down.
Location is very convenient, just across the street from the train station. Staff were very pleasant, check in and out was easy and painless. Room is basic, but that really is what you're paying for at this location.
Restaurants are close by and station is across the street. Hotel management arranged a tour to Taroko Gorge straight from hotel. Room needed some upgrades.
A great location right next to the train station. Steve the owner speaks perfect English and was extremely helpful with some good tips. Its a bit of a walk to downtown (15-25 mins), but if you hire a motor scooter for TWD500 from one of the many agents around the train station, you're all set, especially for exploring such as the brilliant Taroka gorge and the beautiful East coast drive! The hotel is basic but clean and is serviced every day...and the price beats staying in a hostel! Definitely recommended!
When our hiking plans got rained out and we arrived in Hualien a day early, the owner was nice enough to help us move up our reservation. He was extremely friendly and we had a great chat (in English). The hotel was nice, and the rooms were large with air conditioning. Location is conveniently close to the train station and we found parking easily on the street out front. Would definitely stay here again!
Worst living this hotel ever! The staff didn’t tell us where is the quilt and water. When we found the quilt from outside of the cabinet, we didn’t know the cabinet cannot use. Also, they didn’t write the slogan. The steward opened our door to take the quilt. And she called her boss to threat us. They were very rude! They didn’t knock door and through the door. It was a terrible experience we haven’t made!
