Quick overnight on our way through

After a very long few days, when checking in we were given a bag with chips, water and cookies and my teens loved it! The beds were comfy and the room was spacious

It is clear that updates have been made to the property and the rooms to keep it up to date. Our room had a mini fridge, microwave, and a large TV, plus free wifi. The tile in the bathroom looked pretty new. However, it is also clear that some things were not taken care of. The bathroom door in our room would not close, probably because the new threshold between the rooms is too high. The trim around the door had to be pushed away from the wall to accommodate the new tile, and whatever scrap wood was used to do it. The distance between the toilet and the wall is also quite short. I'm 5' 7', and my knees were about 6" from the wall went I sat down. The carpets were apparently not cleaned, because the bottoms of three pairs of my socks changed from white to brown or gray from walking around in the room. The air conditioner works, but I kept turning it down because the room always felt a bit humid and warm when it was not running. Sometimes it would run for a minute, shut off for ten seconds, and then run for several more minutes for no apparent reason. I could also hear our neighbors through the wall more often than I would like. Overall, if your main goal is to save some money on a hotel and you are OK with some compromises, this is an OK place to stay.

worth it!

Our service at the front desk while checking in was a very good experience. The gentleman working was fast and efficient while also being courteous and friendly. We received a little "welcome bag" which included 2 bottles of water, a personal bag of Flamin Hot Cheetos and a package of peanut butter sandwich crackers. The room (room 145) was clean and comfortable. We had great water pressure and our son made sure to mention that he loved the shower head while taking a shower. Our stay was quiet and while we only stayed for 1 night, I will absolutely keep this place in mind if I ever need a place to stay in this area again. On the outside of the building, it shows its age but I like it because it's not bad and it adds to the aesthetics. The rooms have been updated and contain a large flat screen TV, Seeley posture pedic mattresses, fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Photos on other reviews are accurate which is why I'm not including my own.

Diamond in the Rough

When you first drive up to the Royal Inn you may question your decision, but don't! This was a great stay for an easy commute to the airport. The staff were friendly and offered water and a snack upon check-in! The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Despite being next to a busy road the noise was not noticeable. Highly recommend for a quick stay.

Staff at the property was very welcoming, give a gift bag with treats and bottled water, which was very appreciated. Room was very clean, bathroom had a walk-in shower, rather than a tub shower. Parking was right in front of the rental room. Will definitely return!

The room had been updated with modern conveniences. The cleaning staff had done a wonderful job. There was no outside noise that bothered me. I usually eat all my meals outside, so not having breakfasts there was fine. The price was very affordable.

Surprised! At first drive up we were a little concerned. The buildings seem a little old, faded and it's a motel where the rooms all go to the outside. I even went in our room to take a look before we committed, but I have to say, everything was super clean and orderly. The inside of our room was modern, looks like it was gutted and redone recently (no paint smell). The beds were comfortable, although I was surprised that they did not have any kind of mattress protector (wrap) on them, just a mattress pad and the sheet. Everything in the room worked as it should. We had a nice stay. The gentleman at the desk was very kind as I asked for a room with a chair and he accommodated without question. There were people upstairs which was noisy early am and late the night before. Nothing crazy, but I was reminded why I liked the top floor of ay building.
