The hotel was a disaster from the beginning. We had a room booked and so did my daughter and they messed up the reservation and made changes to my reservation without no me ever requesting them and then telling me that my daughter changed them when she had a separate reservation. Sinks were clogged and water drained very slowly. Bed cover was stained and had to request a new one. I would have changed hotels if I could have after the ruined the trip I had planned by no moving and changing my reservation without me asking from ocean view with a king to double queen. Just a horrible experience.

My niece and I just wanted a quick overnight beach trip that wasn't too expensive but still close to the beach. This was the perfect spot. It was cute, clean and provided exactly what we needed. The continental breakfast was an added bonus.

The only non-stellar thing I have to say about our stay is that our original room’s water heater went out. They promptly moved us to a different room, but we could not connect to the WiFi in that room and our cell service seemed to be in a dead spot. But nothing major- the staff was exceptionally nice, attentive and accommodating, breakfast was filling, the room was clean and modern, the beach was just a hop, skip and a jump away, the room was a reasonable rate and we found the area to be perfect for our needs! I think we have found our new “home-tel” in Southern California! Hopefully next time Mother Nature cooperates!

Its location for the price is awesome! A very short walk across the street. You can’t actually see the water from the hotel and our room was down a hallway with its window looking at another hallway. Breakfast was fine, nothing to jump up and down about. There isn’t a coffee maker in the room.

Staff was very friendly! Room needed some work, it just looked run down which made it look dirty. Soap dispenser was empty fridge didn't get very cold and the heat/ac unit smelled terrible when running. However the bed was comfortable and was next to the beach and they had things you could barrow to take to the beach so that's a plus. Not a room I would want to spend lots of time in, but if your just needing a place to rest your head and shower it works.

Perfect hotel for a little getaway weekend. Our room had an ocean view, which was the best part! The hotel staff was exceedingly helpful. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Would stay here again!

Friendly hotel near Sunset beach

Great location near Sunset beach. Very friendly and knowledgable staff, particularly the manager. Room was fine although not ‘luxury’ with a fridge and microwave. Not cleaned each day and the bed wasn’t made at all. Free parking but slightly disconcerting guy loitering in the garage area each day. Good coffee available in lobby. Breakfast (complimentary) was limited, nice fresh pancakes, fruit and juice.but nowhere to sit and eat it. Nice touches like books, Beach toys etc. available in lobby for customers to use.

Awesome visit!

Our stay at Ocean Surf Inn & Suites was lovely! We were there for 2 nights, and the facility was in great condition. It's an older building right next to the ocean, so the fact that it's in such good condition is pretty awesome. The room was perfect, and we had an ocean view! We were also just steps from the sand. We'll definitely be staying here again!

The only thing I would suggest is not to question customers request for clean towels and wash clothes and toiletries. Other than that everything was great and would recommend.
