Hvammstangi Vacation Packages

The positives of this property/hotel are: decent location, clean/modern room on the inside, refrigerator in room, priced competitively. The negatives are: pile of trash next to front steps of property (for 5 days or maybe longer since I checked out), no room cleaning/trash removal for duration of stay (particularly challenging for longer stays), thin walls/noisy (both internal and external, especially with people coming and going all day/night for various activities and if you have a front facing room), no staff on sight. Overall, the price was right, but the trash/noise/lack of cleaning made for a less positive experience.

Great hotel and staff. The only issue was the lack of street parking in the evenings (the hotel doesn’t have dedicated parking). It’s in downtown with a lot of shops, which makes it convenient for shopping but tricky to find parking.

Very efficient and comfortable property. We had everything we needed to fix dinner and breakfast. Very comfortable beds - above average. Owner very nice over the phone. In the middle of some great views of Iceland itself.

We stayed here for two nights, great location property needs better upkeep and cleanliness, lots of bugs inside, staff was not very helpful and communicated poorly about how to access the property. Overall 3 out of 5 at best.

Absolutely great. The pictures don’t do the property justice. Very spacious, spotless clean, totally fell in love with the floors. The sauna and tub were spectacular, got some amazing aurora views while relaxing in both. The neighborhood was great, with multiple stores like Bónus just a few minutes away. The owner was super friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

We got upgraded to the studio room and it was the best because we could see the aurora and the stars right from our room so i highly recommend booking the studio rooms for that. Additionally, we loved the hot tub and sauna amenity it was perfect after a long day of sight seeing. Breakfast was also super good and staff were really nice throughout :)

This property is in a lovely spot with beautiful views. It’s unique in that it has duplex little cabins that are cozy. The restaurant on site had a great dinner but mediocre breakfast- not at all what you would expect at a luxury-priced European hotel. The room had no amenities such as a robe, or lotion, water bottles, or places for suitcases. The very expensive price should come with a few extras to make you feel like the price is worth it.
