Booked for a spa break. Absolutely terrible. Dirty, smelly “spa”, generally dated and worn out. Spa staff very unwelcoming. The “garden view” advertised was in fact was a weed covered courtyard with a rubbish filled skip in it! Toddler swimming classes and swimming lessons going on so incredibly noisy and weren’t able to use pool. I cannot believe they have the audacity to advertise that they offer luxury spa breaks when that is so far from what they deliver. Customer service generally very poor, young inexperienced staff. Were told we hadn’t booked breakfast on entering the dining room, when we had. If you just need a bed for the night it would be okay as the room was fine, but I would strongly advise against going to this hotel for a spa break. I contacted the hotel with my comments but they were dismissive, not interested in putting anything right and “closed my case” without offering a resolution, so I feel I ought to warn others to avoid this place…….management won’t be interested if you complain. In summary, terrible experience topped off with terrible customer service.

Good Stay in Hythe
Great service at check in and great spa facilities including Pool, Steam and Sauna. Breakfast offered good choice but I would have loved to see locally sourced and advertised products using local suppliers

The hotel in in a great location on the sea front. Friendly reception staff. Lovely "Champagne" bar on the first floor overlooking the sea, serving all drinks. The spa was great with everything working. The room was comfortable, quiet and and stylish, with lovely view of the gardens. Tea, coffee, kettle, and fridge in the room. Nice bathroom with a good shower and super soft towels.

Stayed overnight to attend a wedding there The room was ready on arrival at 12.00pm which was good as we were previous informed it would not be until 4.00pm. Room was nice a clean, bed comfortable and the venue and meal after the wedding ceremony was lovely.

Firstly the staff are very friendly and helpful. I was unwell for a few days. Room service was good so was the food. The room we had was very comfortable with sea view. My partner used the swimming pool etc. Then went for some lovely walks especially to the shops. Cannot fault The Imperial. A lovely relaxing stay.

Overnight Anniversary stay
Stayed for our wedding anniversary celebration. Was able to check in early but did have to leave card details and was told they would take £50 as an holding fee. Impressed with room the lovely view overlooking the sea. We had an anniversary gift left for us as below. Nice touch. We used the spa facilities, hot tub steam and pool. Some parts of these facilities looked like they needed a bit of maintenance but overall we had a great time. After heading back to our room to shower and change for the evening we decided to have drinks in the bar before taking a stroll and returning for food. Please be aware they do not stock non-alcoholic beverages and in general the drinks and food at pretty prices. A bottled cider and a Glass of Prosecco was almost £17. After this and a closer inspection of the food menu which wasn’t too our taste, we decided to head elsewhere for our evening meal. We found a local pub ‘The Bell’ which was a 6 minute walk towards Hythe town centre. We had a lovely 3 course meal for a much more reasonable price. After returning to the hotel we headed back to our room. Generally the corridors, were clean and tidy but wall paper damage was noted by the lift. The beds were comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep. Room was warm but air con worked well. We were aware of a wedding taking place below us but it wasn’t noisy. Breakfast was both continental and full English. The poached Eggs cooked to order were perfectly done. Check out was simple.

Everything is just perfect and safe and if it’s not you just go to reception and they always make it right someone there 24 hours to help if needed the staff are smart approachable polite and respectful we love it there the shops are beautiful and the beautiful view of the clean beach and sea is just perfect plenty of parking. My only suggestion is more Disabled parking would be nice
