Came up short

We arrived to find that they were having problems with their computer system. Not a big deal, and the lady at the front desk was doing her best to handle something out of her control. As we were checking in, we were told the elevator was out. Once again, not a big deal, but things are starting to stack up against a positive stay. Our room was located on the interstate side, and the road noise was impactful throughout the entire night. The next morning, there was little breakfast, and multiple items were broken and out of order. This place had good employees they just did not have the facility to match. If we had not been checking in so late, we would have moved hotels. Hopefully, they take this review as an opportunity to get better.

On our way down, we received a text that the elevators were out. When we got there no one was at the front desk, when we asked about the elevator we were told it had been out for several days. We were told our room was on the top floor and the attendant became defensive and would not even try to get us a lower floor room. The room was hot, and when we called down to the front desk no one answered. On our second day, our room was not made up when we returned after being out all day. For breakfast the second day, we ate out of bowls because the hotel ran out of plates. Both days, the coffee ran out. I could go on, but my husband and I were met with defensiveness every time we mentioned something and so we just carried on. We will not be back!

Both Expedia website and their website said that the room I booked had a sofa bed. Upon arrival we were told after the remodel they do not have sofa beds at all in any rooms any longer. We had to squeeze 3 full grown adults into one bed and a small, hard, chair as there were no other rooms available. We were also charged a $50 insurance fee without warning until questioned about it. The property made no move to reimburse or to make amends for the lack of accommodation and incorrect/lack of information on their part. Had I known this I would have booked a double room or gone somewhere else entirely.
