Arrived to a sign that pool/hot tub closed for maintenance. Asked if it would be open for our second night and front desk said she didn’t know. We later saw pool area and it was clearly closed long term as there was shrink wrap over things, I don’t like being lied to. We chose this hotel so the kids could swim. Also, the phones in room were down so I had to walk down to front desk to ask about the thermostat in the room. Breakfast was lack luster too, cold food and uninviting

Check in was a complete mess. Reserved room with pay at property. Hotel staff called early morning day of check in hours before check in is even allowed demanding payment to keep the room. Check in when we arrived was a mess. Finally got to the room and tv didnt work. Then we found out pool and hot tub were closed but still charged us full price.

The door to our room didn’t lock. The electronic lock wasn’t working and you could just walk right into our room. Since the electronic system didn’t work, you could pull down the handle from the outside and it would automatically unlock the deadbolt too. We went to the front desk to try to get help and were told that maintenance couldn’t fix it until the next day and there were no other rooms to switch us too. We had looked online and it was giving us an option to book a room so it wasn’t sold out. The woman just didn’t seem to want to help us.

There was no pool or hot tub as was indicated on hotels.com. This was the main reason I chose this hotel. I tried to find something in the area that had a pool and hot tub after I found this out and we would have had to drive over 20 minutes. My relaxation trip was a stare at the room walls trip instead!
