I wasn’t sure what to expect visiting downtown Indianapolis for the first time. Coming from Minneapolis, the downtown area isn’t what I would call safe. So, my quick review…5/5 stars all around. The hotel, the staff, and the breakfast are top notch. Parking is very convenient. The downtown life is, or seemed to be, safe and fun. Walking alone downtown, around the hours of 8:00-10:30pm, and at no point did I feel unsafe. What I did notice is all the happy people, whether it be families, couples on dates, or friends out to sample the libations. Well done downtown Indianapolis!!! I look forward to returning for more of a vacation rather than a high school music competition.

Not quite the hotel I would expect from a hotel that had the Hyatt name. The breakfast buffet floor of the buffet was sticky, walking on the floor made our shoes sticky. The plates and cutlery were not very clean. The staff were not polite. For example, my wife asked the bartender a question, the bartender answered with a terse "NO" and moved on.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. We had a good breakfast at the hotel also, which was included. The hotel's proximity to downtown venues was excellent. The huge drawback was the cars outside of our hotel revving there engines and screeching down the road till 2am. We were on the 8th floor and it sounded like they were right outside our window. That was not ideal at all. I hope its not like that every weekend.

We loved staying here for our weekend in Indy. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly. The hotel is in a very walkable area and close to several bars, restaurants and coffee shops.
