Good value
This is a basic, clean and efficient hotel consistent with its brand name. It's well located within easy access to the Indy race track, as well as some nice local restaurants. It is not fancy, but functional and is a good value. The free breakfast is good. Parking is plentiful and free.

The staff.was very friendly. When we arrived at 830pm, there was a banquet dinner and guests were all over the foyer, outside, and hallways being exteemely noisy. The front desk attendant did kindly ask them multiple times to quiet down. Everything was clean to the eye, but after only being in our room an hour, a roach ran across the table i was microwaving my food on. I didnt ask to check out or be refunded because i was traveling and i guess things like that are to be expected sometimes when staying in hotels. Continental breakfast was great and my kids enjoyed the pool.

It was a good hotel for the price. Room was clean and smelled nice. Stains on the chair in our room, and the tiles in the bathroom were coming up off the floor.

While there was always someone cleaning around the hotel, my room was horrible. The rug was dirty and smelled like feet. I put towels on the floor so I could walk around. The chair in the room was so nasty and smelly I dared not sit on it. The room was dark and gloomy. I will never use this hotel again.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, if one has an upcoming early morning procedure at Methodist Hospital or someone to visit there. The hospital is about 1.3 miles away. Reviews praised the breakfast, but when we were there it wasn't great: good sausage patties, but rubbery egg patties and oddly sweet OJ, with few fruit options and no hot cereal. (There were waffle machines I didn't explore.) The staff was friendly and wanted to be helpful, but they weren't well briefed about the facilities, e.g., how to check messages or get the message light to stop flashing, how to effectively arranbge a wake-up call. The shower was pleasant if one doesn't need much in the way of water pressure.

The elevator was out of order for parts of it. The pool was out of order for our trip. Otherwise, it was clean and the breakfast was good. The front desk agent was friendly and very helpful.

When I arrived at 1pm Sat Aug 24 the manager was at the front desk and very rudely told me that check in was at 3pm and I could only check in early if I paid an early check in fee. He said since I used Expedia that was part of the problem. I did not feel like arguing with him so I left and came back closer to 3pm. I would not recommend staying at this hotel due to the manager.

Once we were in our room, this was a fine place to stay, but the parking lot was strewn with trash and the trash cans at the entrance were overflowing both the evening we checked in and the following morning. The lobby area is a bit dilapidated. The room was clean and fine, but the grounds were not up to par.

Nice desk clerk and greeting. We checked in after 10pm on a Thursday night - front desk had many phones ringing so he needed to put each on hold while efficiently checking us in. I appreciated that courtesy to the irl guests, but then didn't bother calling later about the smoke alarm issue (see negatives). Positive call outs: firm comfortable mattress, two switches in the bathroom (not the usual hotel trend of one switch activating lights and an ugly noisy fan), pleasant smelling courtesy bathroom products, unobtrusive nightstand clocks (not bright) -- overall a pleasant looking room. The pool looked great, though we didn't use it. Breakfast dining area nice enough though with limited choices. Staff were few, though attentive to the problem of a coffee machine only dispensing watery murk. Coffee is all we cared about having, so points dinged for that. Dining staff tried to fix this, but it appeared to be a struggle and we finally had to get on the road so didn't see how that resolved. A few room negatives, though: hall noise by several late arriving guests was audible; smoke or carbon monoxide sensor on our room's ceiling flashed about every 7 seconds (we put a bandaid over the light). This would've been more annoying if we were awake for long in our room, but once alseep it was a non-issue.
