There was way more wrong than right at the SSI. Cold reception and very mediocre room (which has nails coming out of the carpet floor) I also did not appreciate the fact that I asked for a professional courtesy credit when I found out that we had to leave a day earlier. There was no middle ground with them- in essence, they made sure to get their money. If I ever end up in Indy again, would definitely not be staying here

We felt as if we were truly invited guests. The inn keeper met us at the front door and guided us through every aspect of our visit. There was never any mis-step of the offerings of The neighborhood is within easy walking distance to a friendly pub and many churches.

A truly wonderful stay! Stone Soup Inn is absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained. The accommodations were incredibly comfy, making it easy to relax, but what really set it apart was the stellar staff. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love the Stone Soup Inn! My husband and I come back every October as part of our anniversary road trip and love everything about it. The rooms are uniquely beautiful (we love the lofts), and the staff are so welcoming, passionate, and love getting to know their guests. We feel right at home and we look forward to our next stay!

Comfortable, beautiful old house with charm

My wife and I stayed here two nights and really enjoyed it. The room was very comfortable and the staff we interacted with were all friendly and very helpful. We got to enjoy breakfast with other guests and that was a very nice way to start the day.

Interesting older home was a great place to stay. Clean and comfortable and free parking. Walkable to city, but some folks may be a little hesitant at night but we did it without problem. Third floor got a little stuffy, a small fan to run with the window open would be a nice addition as it was a cooler night.

This is the most beautiful and welcoming place I have ever stayed in while traveling! The lovely ladies at the desk here very welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond to make me and those in my party feel like we were right at home! The breakfast was delicious, with even fresh-made waffles brought to us table-side. The inn is decorated expertly provide a beautiful, yet homey space. The lovely lady at the desk even did a “photo-shoot” for myself and my friends when we returned from our event! The rooms were also clean and included all necessary materials for a comfortable stay. The rates were also very reasonable, especially considering all the amenities and hospitality provided. If you are in Indianapolis, I highly, highly recommend this be your place to stay!
