Hotel is in a central location to tourism office and shopping, restaurants however it is a busier area. The view was directly into other peoples hotel room so a challenge to keep windows open when curtains need to be closed (you could look directly into others aswell across laneway. Not the easiest hotel to find and parking was not by hotel (about 5 min walk). We only stayed 1 night so not a big issue but if I were to stay in Interlaken for a few nights I would look for a place with parking and more importantly views and more atmosphere. Staff were great and helped me when I lost my parking tickets - really appreciated this service. About 20 min walk to Harder Kulm - but beautiful walk.

Guest house poor, hotel good.
The accommodation was in the building next door in the guest house ( we thought it was in the hotel) The room had two single beds at ground level and two in a loft up a narrow steep ladder. This was too small for teenagers or adults and over promoted. The worst aspect was the mini bathroom ( for four people) A small toilet by the door , a BATH SHOWER and small sink. The most dangerous aspect was the shower ,which when placed on medium would suddenly change to boiling , potentially burning your skin even if you switched it to cold,as it stayed boiling. I mentioned this to reception,who seemed unconcerned but they would report it to an engineer. The hotel entrance is spacious, inviting and well designed. Breakfasts were excellent ( we paid for seperately) But as I stated to the receptionist, the bathroom was 2 star quality and the room not suitable for three adults ( even though sold for four)

The guest house doesn’t have any AC and it just has a small fan. The rooms don’t come with a mini fridge either. You have to open the windows in summer so you aren’t hot and then a lot of little flies come in. The area is great and the staff was great but it’s not worth the price. It’s a glorified hostel and for the price it isn’t worth it.

Tiny bathroom
Tiny shower! Am 5”3” petite and can barely fit in the shower. If your on the bigger or taller side, book a room with a bathtub. Location is great. Close to everything. Instant Coffee with powdered creamer and sugar. Room is clean. No A/C, so it’s hot during summer. We came here end of July.

Careful of redirect from Hey to Hey Guesthouse
I will not book again through hotels.com. It listed the main hotel (Hey Interlaken) which I chose for its amenities like air conditioning and refrigerator. However without realizing it I was redirected to Hey Guesthouse which did not have either AC or fridge and it was a tiny room with a fan and a window that could only be opened from the top by climbing up on the sill. The Hey staff was very helpful and put us in a bigger Guesthouse room with large windows but still no AC and very noisy facing the street.

The guesthouse is separated from the main hotel. It is in prime and convenient location. Very clean and modern. The bath tub had some stains, could be the age. Close to Coop supermarket that is open till 10:00 pm. As others have noted they don’t have AC so if you are heat sensitive I would not stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we will consider returning again. Interlaken has a lot to offer so I suggest a couple of days min.
