What a Suprise
Don’t let the age of the exterior to this hotel fool you. The 3 bedroom apartment was huge for a motel, with all new modern fittings . The kitchen was well appointed with oven, hot plate, microwave, dishwasher & family size fridge. The lounge dinning was spacious with a huge tv that would be at home in a sports bar let alone a motel. The bedrooms were again large with decent beds that weren’t too hard. You also have an appointed laundry with washer dryer that was handy for our long exploring road trip around the South Island. I don’t think I’ve been more surprised with a room and travelling with my grown family of 5 I would definitely stay again

Big 2 bedroom apartment. The staff had left heating on for our arrival so it was already warm inside which was very welcoming. Also had option of netflix on the TV. Very comfy stay.

Very clean and spacious. The beds had electric blankets. We only stayed one night and didn't use the kitchen but it was well equipped. The water tower was within walking distance. Will definitely book a room here again if we happen to be in this area.

My rating takes into consideration the other places i have stayed, both in Invercargill and other NZ locations. Good points: * Friendly, welcoming staff * Heating was on to ensure i arrived to a cosy room. * very cost effective * impeccably clean * comfortable bed * free off-street parking right at each unit * not too near any busy roads * well equipped with kitchen utensils/crockery * complimentary cookies, hot chocolate in the beverage selection * electronic fob access, self locking door The not-so-great: * parking is challenging if you are not confident at reversing *motel itself is functional but extremely dated. * rooms are a bit tight. I’m an average-sized kiwi but i found it a little challenging, particularly in the bedroom and bathroom. * concrete block walls make for an extremely chilly night during winter * bathroom fan is extremely loud and on a timer (to be fair, i was pre-warned about this by the staff, but i wasn't prepared for HOW loud! If clean and cheap is what you want, then this is the place for you! If you are a motel snob (and I admit to being one) then I would suggest looking elsewhere. Top tip: don't turn the heater off, as the temperature plummets during winter. Use the remote to turn it down and leave it on overnight.

was listed as an executive room dont think its is at that level cracked tile at door bedroom door had a hole in it and lounge chair had splits in seat and shower was old style and old wall heater overall was tired looking was offered a $40 upgrade but as only staying one night stayed where i was
