Enjoy direct access to the slopes and an indoor pool at Pine Mountain Ski & Golf Resort during the winter, and return in the summer for a round at the hotel's golf course.

Not worth the price

I would have thought with the word "resort" on the name, it would have been at least clean. Our floor left our feet black, the white bedding had makeup on it, greasy fingerprint smears on the TV, food crumbs on the nightstands and garbage under the beds. If you want a quick meal, avoid the restaurant downstairs. We were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant. Our server spilled a drink on a phone and did nothing to wipe it up, just apologized while the rest of us threw our napkins to save the phone. Our server didn't come back to ask if we needed anything or to refill drinks. Food was good but when it came to the bill, we waited 20+ minutes after asking for to go boxes to get it. And then another 20 for her to come back around to ring it up. Normally, I'd chalk it up to just an off night but the following morning breakfast was even worse. We received our food over an hour after ordering. We asked our server when the food would be ready, she stated they were plating it now...it came out 15 minutes later. And again, we waited 30 minutes for the bill & to be rung up.

Our awesome cabin stay in the UP!!

We truly enjoyed staying at Pine Mountain Lodge in the cabins. Accommodations were excellent. Great living room with a large screen TV as well as the two bedrooms. Bathroom had a very nice shower, the mirror was super cool with its own light and defrost. I know this cabin would be an amazing place to stay in the winter for the ski season!! Great view of the ski hill.

Accommodations were quiet, clean and neat. Front desk staff pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch. The biggest drawback is not having a full kitchen. While we appreciated the vouchers for the dinning room, the service was very slow and the food mediocre.

Good Room - Lacking Amenities

Room was nice and updated, but did NOT have a microwave or availability of an ice machine to make ice. Those are standard hotel amenities that should be available instead of pushing you to pay to get food at the restaurant.

I would recommend

This resort represents a great value. Most areas were solidly very good for the price we paid for a summer stay. The grounds were naturally beautiful. We enjoyed the UP sports hall of fame in the restaurant. Prime rib on Saturday night was quite good and well priced but accompanying potatoes were nearly raw. Kitchen staff may need a bit more training to work that out.

It was a 7 day trip for my family. This was by far our favorite of 3 resorts we stayed at. Mostly because of how comfortable we felt immediately checking in with Carolyn! She is an Awesome representative of the property. Coming back 2 more times, and have already referred friends! Thanks everyone! You are all so lucky to live there. Room was NOTHING like the picture. overpriced!

Did not try the restaurant or bar due to the negative reviews of it from locals so I can’t comment on that. The good- Bed was very comfortable and it had a nice view from the balcony. The pool room/sauna/locker area is well maintained and the front desk has fresh towels for the pool. They will also give you warm cookies anytime you ask. The staff was very friendly. Now the bad - it was about $150 a night for a double room. It was so tiny and the air conditioner was so small it never stopped but never got below 70. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on in the hall or rooms next door. They allow dogs and there was one across from the room with a super loud bark. A group of golfers stayed near my room and were up super late on a Sunday night even though quiet time is ten pm. Several things were in need of repair in the room, tissue holder broken, toilet paper holder came off the wall, no microwave in the room, no ice bucket. Paint was covered in stains when shined with a blacklight. Bathroom trim was starting to peel. Shower knob was shin high and the shower was tiny with no doors so water went all over the floor if you used it. It took at least five minutes to get hot water. The main lights in the room and bathroom are super bright you almost need sunglasses. The bathroom light shines right on the bed so you’ll blind anyone trying to sleep. No dresser in the room and it had a very strange layout, smaller than a studio apartment. No receipt
