Overall, this hotel is a great choice for a short 3-4 day trip with friends!
Pros:
• Friendly and professional staff at restaurants, bars, spa, and front desk
• Quality massages and facials at reasonable prices
• Convenient excursion bookings (snorkeling, golf cart rentals)
• Good food quality, plus occasional beachfront dinner with live music
• Two pools: a main pool and a rooftop pool with a bar for sunset views
• Comfortable rooms with balconies, USB/outlet options, and coffee machines
• Champagne at check-in
• Currency exchange available (though small bills depend on availability)
• Small lobby store for essentials
• 10-15 minutes from ferry, Playa Norte, and shops
• Plenty of pool/beach chairs with shade options and towels
• Generally quiet throughout the day and night
Cons:
• 2-2.5 hour travel time from airport due to island location
• Inconsistent WiFi
• No fridge or bathtub in rooms
• All-inclusive doesn’t include room service, premium drinks, or some dishes
• Paper wristbands tear easily and must be replaced if lost (fee applies if you lose the band)
• Small resort with limited restaurants, pools, and shopping options
• Few planned activities (no exercise classes, games, etc.)
• Small beach with seaweed, so most guests swim in the pool or go to Playa Norte
• Room keys must be returned or a fee is charged
• Must sign receipts for every drink/meal, even at the bar
