The furniture in the room was chipped in many places.The carpet was stretched and loose and could be a trip hazard.The carpet in the casino was taped to the floor and looked horrible.

Comfortable stay in Islandia

Check in was a breeze. The front door security is comforting. You walk through the first time and they scan your ID. On following entrances, you stand in front of a face recognition scanner. No one with big bags who are not staying in the hotel can bring the bags in. A cafe in the lobby has grab and go items as well as hot tea, coffee, and lattes made to order. There is a restaurant open until midnight, although I did not try it, it always seemed to have patrons. The room was clean and spacious. I stayed 4 days. Housekeeping kept the room spotless. Hotel guests can use valet parking for free and get a voucher at the front desk upon check out. We tipped valet and housekeeping upon checkout for their excellent service.
