Wonderful

We booked a "Double Room", and on our arrival were taken to the adjacent building (this was not specified in our booking). The room looked like someone's badly maintained and not very clean spare room.
Lack of gas supply meant there was no hot water from the tap (so washing our hands in February was painful), the radiators didn't work (instead there were two noisy portable heaters which made sleeping very difficult). There were spiderwebs everywhere, the bed was very uncomfortable.
Since this clearly didnt match what we booked, we asked reception for a resolution but they didn't have any free equivalent rooms and didn't want to upgrade us to something better. Overall a real disappointment - the only saving point was the view which was very pretty. I don't doubt the proper "double rooms" in the main building are gorgeous, but we weren't given those. To think that the price is the same between the two is unacceptable. A real shame as this was our first holiday in ages.
The Glenisle Hotel is located in Lamlash with a stunning view across to the Holy Isle- from the top room.
Central, and convenient for other eateries and bars, with a Co-op Market a short walk.
Hotel was spotless and comfortable, with staff friendly and welcoming.
Carpark was small, but enough space at front to park on road.
A nice seat across from Hotel front entrance to take in the view 🤗
I was visiting Arran with my Australian niece and wanted her to fall in love with Scotland. Arran is the place for that (it’s called Scotland in miniature with its mountainous north island and rolling hills of the south). The Glenisle Hotel is back to its best. Years ago it has been great but went downhill after a change of owner. Well, it’s changed hands again, and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. I’m glad we opted for the superior twin room which was incredibly spacious, comfortable, modern, and also had the most wonderful view across the water to the Holy Isle. The prices were good too. There are lots of other places to eat in Lamlash too (The Pierhead Tavern and the Drift Inn) so there’s plenty of variety if you’re staying for a while. Couldn’t recommend more highly!
Brilliant stay and we look forward to staying again - and have already recommended to family. Rooms large, warm, comfortable and quiet. Views over Lamlash are amazing. The lady who runs the hotel was so incredibly helpful, coffees in the room in the morning, helping with electric car charger - nothing was too much and met with a smile. Breakfast was AMAZING too!
The Glenisle is a cozy place with friendly staff. We had a Seaview room looking out to Holy Isle which was stunning. We were there during storm Eowyne so had a day where we had too stay indoors but it didn’t spoil our trip as everyone is so friendly and chatty. Joy the owner was always on hand and Daz the maintenance man really funny with a lot interesting chats. My only downside would be is due to it being an older hotel there is no lift and difficult for people with walking disability to conquer the stairs which can be a bit dark in places but Joy was always willing to assist with luggage etc . Great ambiance
Excellent stay, with upgrade given for no extra costs. Lovely breakfast, Angela very attentive and professional with her service. Would definitely stay again
Great location within Lamlash, being close to everything and very affordable. Our room was decent size however, we found the stains on the sheets and the bathroom window was held shut with nails (handle must have been broken) and it let a lot of draughts and smells in. The bed mattress also probably needs replacing.
After a long journey, such a joy to be in a comfortable, welcoming hotel. Good food and company. Loved the Belhaven Black with the fish'n'chips !Greatly recommended!
The Glenisle is a fabulous hotel. The view of the from our bedroom room was just stunning and the morning sunrise was spectacular.
The hotel staff were all an absolute delight, and couldn’t do enough to be of help, and to top it all off, the breakfast choices were first class.
