Some staff extremely polite, while a few rude. Breakfast hours were 8-10 am. I finished my breakfast at 10 am and went to get coffee. The staff shut the coffee machine. I asked him to let me have the coffee. His response was “we close at 10”. I told him that it’s not I was asking them to brew a fresh carafe, it’s just a machine that dispenses instant coffee. But he was inflexible and rude. Other staff was polite. They helped us putting our suitcases in our ride

Friendly enough staff for Istanbul. Great balcony with sea view and a surprisingly good breakfast. Plenty of restaurants close by and a short walk to the centre of old town. The place overall needs a little TLC.

We had a good stay at Artefes Hotel in Istanbul. The hotel is very well located, within walking distance of the main historic sites. The staff were kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent for the price, and the rooftop terrace offered a pleasant view of the city. While the shower area felt a little tight and some amenities could be improved, the overall experience was positive. A solid choice for travelers looking for comfort and value in the old city.

I stayed at Artefes Hotel Old City in 4July 2025 for 5 nights. The only positive thing was its location — close to the sea and tourist sites in Sultanahmet. Everything else was truly disappointing. The breakfast was terrible. Every single day, it was exactly the same poor-quality items. Since we couldn’t eat boiled eggs, we asked for an omelet or fried eggs, but they rudely said “we don’t have that.” The bread was dry, and some vegetables were clearly spoiled. When we complained, the staff replied, “Well, you didn’t pay for breakfast,” which was absolutely false — we had booked a room with breakfast. The room was tiny, awkwardly designed, and the TV was mounted sideways, not even facing the bed. It was hard to move around the room without hitting the walls or the shower. The elevator was also extremely small — just for one person. There was no real lobby — nowhere to sit, relax, or have a coffee or tea after coming in from outside. The customer service was weak and the staff had a cold and uninterested attitude. It didn’t feel like hospitality at all. Overall, I deeply regret choosing this hotel. It’s nothing like what they advertise and I would not recommend it to anyone Abbas Naserbakht
