Stayed at 5 different hotels for this 10 day trip, and this was 2nd best. Everything was great about it until I noticed waking up to few bug bites from bed, even though bed seemed really clean and comfortable. Room had enough space and was one of the coziest, modern, and cute. Cute SMEG fridge in the room. Bathroom was a little small but clean. Great working toilet is always a plus. AC worked awesome, felt good after walking in hot sun during the day. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is bad for cars, recommend walking to main/easy access road, which is what we had to do on the way there and on way to airport (bad if you have lot of luggage, order a taxi wayyy ahead of time if you really need it because they have a lot of traffic to go through to get to the front entrance). But if you need the train, the station was right behind it. Even though it's hustle and bustle of Istanbul, its location is tucked away enough that's not super busy, but then you walk just around the corner, and you're walking elbow to elbow with people. Overall comfortable and great for the price.

We had a very pleasant stay, the room was small but very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, wi-fi worked well, and shower had good water pressure and temperature. Location was pretty good, not a far walk to transportation and sites. Staff was very friendly and helpful in securing transportation for us.

Wonderful stay at the Barbera hotel. The staff were really helpful with plenty of good advice from the staff at the front desk for seeing places and getting around using the Istanbul. The breakfast was really nice especially the egg with sujuk and the breakfast staff were friendly, helpful and attentitive. Would definitely stay again here.

Good for a mini-break

The hotel is ideally located in the north of the old town very near the tram with easy access across the bridge to Karaköy. The service was great (fast check-in, available for questions, happy to arrange a yellow taxi to the airport on short notice), albeit I preferred to find recommendations online than refer to the hotel staff. The room itself was comfortable, modern and clean.

This was the most incredible stay we have experienced. The guest services were incredible. They provided us with the most attentive service, giving us recommendations of all kinds. We took their advice and not once were we disappointed. I could not believe how much the staff at this hotel would do for us. It was simple, perfect.

Service is excellent and highly commended. Front desk has been extremely helpful in securing ring side table for dinner cruise. Staff volunteers to get us hard to come by special Turkish Delights. Overall, excellent experience at this establishment.

Modern, clean, friendly, and located perfectly!!!

Let me summarize my experience: new and modern building and facilities, first class five-star service, best location, and world class breakfast! Emrey and his team could not have made our experience any better. He takes great pride in the service he offers and it shows from the room to the breakfast. The room features sound-proof windows, high capacity air conditioning, comfortable beds, and is immaculately clean. The service from his staff is excellent. They are super friendly, and go above and beyond to take care of you. The location is in Emononu, the central part of Fatih for tourists. It's so easy to walk everywhere! You can go to Sultanahmet (super touristy place with all the landmarks), walk to Kadikoy, take one of many boats on the Bosphorus, and easily take the metro anywhere in the city. The hotel can help you avoid all the tourist traps and provide recommendations on places to eat that will wow you. My wife and I look forward to staying again soon!!!!
