Crown Plaza Florya is one of our favorite hotel that we enjoy staying in Istanbul. There is one thing I would like to bring forward that we are not happy and we don't find it polite that reception is running a mini bar check during check-out specifically to Turkish customers. Foreigners who are processed before us during check-out have only been asked about their mini bar usage and no checks have been run. They have only been told "goodbye", that's it. It is completely non-sense, shameful that we (as turkish passport holders) have been gone through this unpolite check while staying in a hotel costs 200$-300$ per night and such a huge brand, this hotel, assuming that we wil runaway without paying whatever we spent from mini bar. This is an extremely shameful and disrespectful application.

My wife and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Istanbul-Florya for five nights starting on August 30th, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations. From the moment we checked in, things started poorly when the staff refused our request for an upper-floor room and wouldn't credit our IHG account the points for the stay because we made our reservation through Expedia. The room we were assigned was damp and smelled musty, like a wet basement. To make matters worse, the AC broke down twice during our visit. The location by the sea is one of the few positives, as it's perfect for taking a stroll and enjoying beautiful Istanbul sunsets. There's also a nearby upscale mall with plenty of shops and restaurants offering both Turkish and international cuisines. While the location is great, the overall experience could have been much better with better service and a more comfortable room.

This hotel has a great pool and gym. Perfect place to relax after spending some time exploring Istanbul. It’s also right next door to a mall which provided a lot of entertainment (shopping, aquarium, movies, etc). While the buffet breakfast is quite expensive, it’s expected for such a hotel. You can avoid it by just walking over to one of the many cafes in the mall. Overall, a quiet, clean and enjoyable hotel to stay in.

Everything was amazing and faultless, the staff were great, and the accommodations were exemplary. The only concern was during our last night at the hotel, there was a wedding that lasted till 1-ish am, and it was loud, and everything can be heard from our room; from the dancing to the music. It is understandable that there will be weddings in that location, as it is a beautiful location, it’s just that it is a bit difficult to sleep, especially if you have a sick person or a young child. But other than that concern, it was a lovely and impeccable stay. Will definitely be staying again in the future. And I would like to thank everyone for such an amazing week.

Main complaint was the cleanliness, or rather lack of it. Everywhere you looked, everything was dirty, poorly cleaned, looked like housekeeping did quick dusting of things, but everything was really dirty.
