Loved the unique history of Pera and the room was excellent, modern, sizeable, with a beautiful view of the Golden Horn and a comfortable bed. Location was excellent given its proximity to restaurants, transit and sites of interest in Istanbul. However, driving the last 100 m to Pera to have the valet park your car is an unavoidable test of nerves. Thank you to the front desk, valet and room cleaning crew. Breakfast was good overall but we suggest the following improvements: staff was inattentive to coffee and tea refills, melons were sometimes off, and the simit/bread generally stale, unbecoming of a hotel of Pera’s quality. Finally, an email in advance of our arrival to advise reserving for afternoon tea would have been appreciated. We were unable to enjoy this experience, despite being there for four nights.

Outstanding historical hotel. A must see even if you aren’t staying in the hotel, the historic lobby is so unique. One of the best breakfasts in the city, but don’t limit yourself to the hotel breakfast only since there are so many wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner places around. The hotel staff were efficient and polite and just very professional. Loved our stay and strongly recommend over some of the more modern hotels if you want to experience Istanbul culture and history.

A taste of old world Istanbul! Pera Palace does not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we were greeted courteously by all staff. They went out of their way to be accommodating. The property is gorgeous, truly a jewel in the New District. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast buffet. If you are looking for luxury and comfort in Istanbul, do check out the Pera Palace.
