First, this hotel is exceptionally situated just a few minutes from major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. However, since it is on a side street, it is very quiet. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff is incredibly helpful and attentive, and the rooftop restaurant has spectacular views of the city. A great choice!

We stayed for 4 nights. Arrived at 3am on our first night and we were assigned a room on the 1st floor. As an Expedia VIP member, we’re eligible for a room upgrade. When we asked, was told to check back the front desk in the morning. The room on the 1st floor had a window with a wal view! Room was dim, dusty, bathroom sink, toilet, and tub needs updating. The bed cover was dusty as if no one had stayed in the room before. The next day we were moved to the 5th floor- same room size but definitely better room- it’s the actual room you visualize as seen in the pictures on the Expedia website. Clean and bathroom has been updated. Room view is the street at the front of the hotel, nice balcony and good natural light. Wish we were placed in this room to begin with instead of inconvenienced us to love our stuff. Room stay came with breakfast on the rooftop with 360degrees view of the area- great view. Breakfast was just alright, they serve the same thing everyday. More of a 3star hotel vs 4 stars on Expedia.Convenient location though, you can walk to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. Great location for using the tram as well.

The view from the restaurant was Amazing! All of staff were very very good Tuhca at the restaurant was Amazing, front office Engine and Buto very nice and helpful, the Spa (Turkish Hammad) was very good and Anna is a great job!

The lobby has Turkish charm. As an older building, the doors were heavy and the rooms very quiet. The dining room on the top floor had stunning views, with a pan Aramaic view of the river and sea in many directions.

We had a wonderful time. The hotel has a great location, 2 minutes walk to the trams, and very little walk to the main attractions, 5-10 minutes walk to Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. It is very clean and so beautiful decorated, it makes you feel so welcomed. The restaurant has an amazing view, to the Ayia Sofia and Blue Mosque and to the sea. The staff it’s so kind and so helpful and always with a smile on their faces. We would love to return to Istanbul and we would definitely choose the same hotel, Sultanhan.

This is our second time in Istanbul in 6 months. Every time we come into town we will stay at the Sultanhan hotel. The staff is incredible The manager Enginis great- he knows all guests and can arrange anything for your stay. The hotel is situated in the middle of the old town—-we walked to everything we wanted to see during our entire stay and finally they have a restaurant on their 6 th floor that has the best view in town. I was there last night — which happened to be my birthday. The brought me a lava cake . Ice cream and fruit plate —complimentary
