The name of the hotel is the exact name of the one inside the airport (which was what i thought i was booking). After being rudely told that i didnt have a reservation in the airport hotel. i was instructed to leave the airport and walk about 100 feet, in which, there was armed gunmen with automatic weapons protecting the airport which made my walk very interesting. i also had to pay 40$ to get a visa to walk outside to the airport hotel. This is a way to make you pay 40$ for a visa. i was also searched and my bags where x rayed. will never do a connecting flight through istanbul again! and one of the two hotel names need to be changed so they can stop misleading tired travelers.

Did the trick

I stayed here since I had a 24 hour transit. They were kind enough to upgrade my room from a standard that had no window, to one that had a window. (Standard rooms are windowless). I guess they upgraded me because of my Gold status with Hotels.com. The room is clean and spacious, two very important criteria for me. However, the main reason I stayed there is because I could walk from the airport to the land side entrance, which is much more affordable than booking a room on the airport side. However, with the airport closing in a few days, this is a moot issue.

Convenient, but not much else to say for it

Very few electrical outlets. No alarm clock. These things are important for a business traveller at an airport hotel. Also, the hotel book advises not to drink the tap water and then provides 1 small bottle of water. Additional water you are charged for. You're pretty much trapped in hotel with significant security to go in or out the front door. Restaurant dinner kind of average. Breakfast is not free. When new airport opens, this will all be irrelevant.

Great stay

Great crash pad for a late night arrival and early flight out. Either look for the shuttle or ask directions for how to get to the hotel entrance when you exit the airport there are not great directions to direct you if you are walking between the two. It is a short and easy walk when you know where you're going but is definitely unclear.

Have stayed here many times (land side) travelling through Istanbul. Convenient location, shuttle service is prompt, and rooms are clean. Was upgraded to a suite this stay....very nice!
