Hotel needs a refresh -

This is an old Casino almost 50 years now - and it’s showing it age . Rooms need a refresh badly - Hallway smells of old carpet & smoke . Elevator was filthy- spilled sticky liquid on floor all three days we were there - never cleaned - casino personnel were great - pool was clean - lots of weeds & litter in all shrubs and tree areas .

Had to give dr licsense just to use cart to haul my luggage who steals a cart had to w ait 20 minutes to get id back whole place was run diwn all kids running hotel, can not give change or do more than 1 task at a time not good.

Other than parking directions from the front desk, which I asked for as I was pulling a trailer, stay was great. No signage or direction. Figured it out on our own. It would have also been nice to know the pool was closed before walking all the way there. But room was nice, clean and comfortable

Should have kept driving to Twin Falls. The first room they assigned us in the Tower was on the 2nd floor, had a view of the AC unit and reeked of cigarette smoke. You can only access the rooms by walking with your luggage through the casino which is also filled with smoke. Felt like a very bad old western film. We luckily went back to the desk and were reassigned a room on the 7th floor that was over all much better. However, the elevator was not working and guests had to use an employee maintenance elevator. Being wakened at 6:45am by a woman talking outside our room on a cell phone was an added bonus. A $15 resort fee was charged and not sure we were aware of this when we booked. I NEVER want to pay a resort fee for amenities that the owner chooses to offer its guests. Don’t try to eat at the steakhouse, I was told there is a one week wait to get in. The diner type breakfast restaurant on site was good with large portions.

I have not been to Cactus Petes for 20 years. Rooms are great. No refer or microwave. Casino not liking all the smoke. Ise to jave a big section for non smokers.

The property was clean as was the room. The elevators were broke down so we had to use the service elevator. I was told this happened last year as well so I'm not sure about the deferred maintenance and upgrades needed on some things but the gaming area was definitely being well tended to. Overall it was as we expected and a nice stay. The pool was busy and could maybe use a few more loungers but it was clean an enjoyable.

Cactus Pete's was a good place to stay. The room and bathroom were very clean. Nice king bed. Nice lighting and lots of plugs for devices. Table for computer use. TV was good. They gave us a 50% off coupon for the first $20 of food charges. The Desert Room restaurant was okay, but we only had breakfast food. Our servers were excellent though. Mary in the evening and Maria in the morning. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was on the 5th floor of the tower and we had to go through the casino to get anywhere. We could hear muffled music while in our room. Don't know where it was coming from.
