Looked like it was in the process of renovations, breakfast was poor and unprepared daily. Coffee was cold and the building had an odd smell. Room was sleepable and at least the bed was clean and comfortable
The pool was closed and breakfast was not available during the entirety of the service time. It was supposed to be open 6-10am on sunday. But no food was out as of 645, and when i returned at 930 there were 5 pieces of sausage left and a few pieces of fruit- no juice, no other grab and go foods, nothing.
Should have read further into the reviews before booking this hotel for close to $200 a night (not sure what was going on in Jackson, but all hotels were pricey this weekend). Other reviewers experienced same things we observed in the parking lot. Did not even check in due to homeless in parking lot living in vehicle and other observations where we did not feel safe - groups hanging/drinking/blasting profanity filled music right outside entrance. Glad we did not stay here because shortly after 3 police cars showed up in the hotel parking lot due to an incident.
Expedia said they will investigate and let me know about a refund. Final decision - Expedia called the hotel and they said it was "safe" so no refund will be given. Just sharing my experience so it may help someone who is not familiar with the area.

Meh, it's alright
It was decent price but you walk into the lobby and they apparently don't want to air condition anything. Went into the room and it was 80°,, that being said, we kicked on the air and it did cool down very quickly and the air conditioning worked well. The shower curtain was disgusting. Not the best area to leave anything unattended for 2 seconds, but it's Jackson so that was expected. Overall I would stay there again if I had to.... Mostly because they allowed my two dogs.
The property is dirty. Customer service is poor. Located across from derelict building. Grounds are unkempt. Formerly a Hampton Inn under new ownership. Would not suggest staying here.
Looks like they are in the middle of a remodel. No sign on the front of the building. Pool was closed. Clean for the most part, except the curtains, they were stained. Chemical smell in the room, like chlorine, but the room was no where near the pool.
The room seemed to be clean, the bed was comfortable, but the staff was unreliable and unresponsive to our request.
The shampoo, conditioner, body wash bottles they mounted in the shower for gas were empty. I asked the front desk to fill them, he wrote a note on a piece of paper and said he would give it to housekeeping, but they were never filled.
The breakfast was basic continental consisting of bagel cereal toast fruit. Your orange juice machine was out of order so they gave a bottle of orange juice in the refrigerator,
I went to the front desk several times during my stay and had to call a phone number to get response.
Entering the room, the toilet was running trying to fill back up, handle was broken. Shower wand was hanging against the wall, broken off holder.
Room smelled like cat pee. We left a day early and want a refund.
The property is very old and dirty. Elevator is dirty, carpet is dirty, smelly. Bathroom is not clean. I saw some stains on the shower curtain.I even found a pair of socks in the guest room. Ice bucket had some water. Apparently they didn’t do a good cleaning. Unclean smell is almost everywhere in the lobby and room. I can’t close the window curtain completely. There was no door hanger “do not disturb “. One bed had 3 pillows; the other had 4. The so-called free breakfast is too simplistic.
We stayed for about 15 minutes and then booked a hotel somewhere else because of the barking dog and just the sense that it wasn’t very safe and the outside was very unwelcoming and dirty
Comfortable bed, soft linens, and clean room. Air conditioning was already running on arrival, on a muggy day. Thermostat in room was helpful. Personable young man at reception desk.

Disliked: Amenities
The pool wasn't down for maintenance! They were using it as storage! A bunch of couches boxes and whatnots. I had called before hand to ask and they said it was up and going. Kids running up and down the halls all night long 9pm/2am. People being so loud we could hear them over the TV. Dogs barking constantly. Then when it came to check out they refused a receipt said it's in my email and I can't have one. They don't check you out. They make you drop keys in a plastic box. Never again. Very rude and no compassion.
The tub clogged, in one room they didn’t fix after letting them know. Had to chance them down for fresh towel, one room never got fresh towel. Paint falling from the ceiling they did knock it down and sweep it. Not a good stay, this is not the half of it.
