The owner, Jethro DeWolfe, met us and showed us all the rooms in this pre-Civil War era mansion and gave us quite a tour and explained much of the home’s restoration, contents and history. Great place.

Hospitality at its Finest ❤️

What a truly beautiful place for a quick getaway. The owner went out of his way to ensure that we felt at home and welcomed. In addition to the ambiance of setting, the owner prepared a delicious breakfast of blueberry pancakes, bacon and fruit. We couldn’t ask for a better stay and we will make sure that we stay again during our next trip to Chicago ❤️

This property was a very enjoyable experience. The owner and staff are very friendly & personable. The breakfasts are fabulous cooked by the owner and served by the valet Kimo. Highly recommend this facility as a Bed & Breakfast. Be aware there are stairs to climb.

We had an excellent experience. The owner greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the historic mansion. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the property. Our room was clean and ready for us. He gave us a great suggestion for dinner. The breakfast in the morning prepared by the owner was amazing (blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, and ham from a local meat locker). If your looking for a unique historical-place to stay; this is it! We plan to return!
