Excellent get away spot. However, during my trip it was raining a lot. Swimming in the pool during the rain was fun. They delivered breakfast to my room. I would stay here again.

The room was very small only two towels no smoke alarms only Spanish language tv the breakfast was inadequate not up to standard no hot water the toilet seat was broke there wasn’t any chairs or table in the room only two wooden chairs outside the beds were well worn

I’m not sure how to review this place because the information provided by Expedia concerning the room was completely different from reality. The apartment was listed as having a separate bedroom. It did not. It was also supposed to have premium bedding, a rain shower shower head, a garden view, toiletries. It had none of these. The staff tried hard to provide a more comfy bed by getting us a mattress topper. The staff were lovely. The pool was nice and was clean. Parking was sometimes a challenge. The location is great. Nonetheless, I would not stay again.

Hotel Los Ranchos was everything we imagined AND MORE! We spent a week here for my 30th birthday. The property is unbelievable. More beautiful than in pictures, a series of small villas encircle a well maintained, beautiful, relaxing pool & waterfall feature. The location is a minute or less walk to the main stretch in Jaco while being 2 minutes or less from the beach. It truly was a perfect location to walk to most places in Jaco. Despite its close proximity to so much, it was tucked away in a quiet, secure, oasis. The staff went above and beyond with every request. The breakfast was great: we followed another reviewers advice and did 1 traditional Costa Rican and 1 pancake with fruit platter. It was the perfect spread of local cuisines! I believe there was mention of paid parking on Expedia however, that is not the case. Parking was free and right on the property. There is a night guard who keeps watch and the gates to the property are closed to those without an access tag. All 3 local tourism companies we used were happy to come to this location and pick us up! During the planning we viewed many properties and narrowed our list to a few including Hotel Los Ranchos. WE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!! For a fraction of the price to other area stays, this location came with local authenticity, spectacular service, gorgeous, clean, and comfortable accommodations, and location, location, location!! To anyone considering it, do yourself a favor and stay here! It will not disappoint!

We had a terrific stay. The location was excellent. Central yet very quiet and safe. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Super clean and very well appointed, this was a great choice for us.. breakfast was also good , staff will bring it to your room if you prefer. All around top marks, well done. Would stay here again for sure.

This property is very good. Only complaint is the air conditioner unit secured to the building on my unit. It was very loud at night it had a vibrating noise and kept waking me up. Water pressure in the shower was extremely low it was hard to take a decent shower. The bathroom sink had lots of pressure. Staff were amazing

Such a beautiful gem of a place! So close to the beach and restaurants! The pool was clean and we could view it from our room. Breakfast served in our room was a treat! The manager and staff were all very kind. We would both highly recommend this sweet spot!
