We loved this lovely hotel! It's small and personable. The gardens are impeccably maintained. The pool area was a pleasure and it has a private beach access! Few hotels in Trancoso have this. The staff is wonderful. Fluent Spanish speaker and several who spoke English. The food was excellent. We especially loved the breakfast buffet. We normally don't like them but this one was different everyday with many wonderful options. Close to El Cuadrado, an amazing shopping area that has plenty of restaurant choices.

Vila Angatu has lowered their quality terribly. Food was horrible. Big disappointment!

Reception is extremely well designed to give you the impression your stay will be enjoyed Rooms are clean staff are friendly and welcoming Outdoor pool is big and encouraging.

Como o hotel se descreveu: Boutique, nossa expectativa seria realmente de uma experiência de hotel boutique, mas nem de longe, se assemelhou. Ralo do banheiro quebrado, restos de cabelo no ralo, sujeira nas paredes do banheiro, cabelo seco na parede do banheiro, espelho sujo, são alguns dos pontos que acho importante ressaltar em relação a estrutura. Acreditamos que o café da manhã seria compensatório, mas logo, percebemos que seria -mais uma- quebra de expectativa. Não vou me estender, mas para terem ideia: nem frios a disposição tinham. Infelizmente os comentários negativos são de fato verdadeiros, acreditamos que talvez seriam apenas insatisfações passadas que a gestão deu atenção e melhorou, mas isso não aconteceu. Para sermos justos, duas coisas foram boas: A atenção da cozinheira da Tainá e da gerente Vanessa.

The beach front need to be clean and they should say on advert you have to pay extra R$ 25.00 per day for parking your car

Beach across street was super nice, safe and very convenient area, staff was friendly and food was good for the price we paid. Bought half board, but when we checked in was told it wasn’t on the system, we were allowed to have dinner, but it took 3 days to have our name on the list, kind of embarrassing. 2 of the 3 pools including the kids pool was very dirty the last 2 days of our stay. Housekeeping made us very special decorating our room, very sweet, special thanks to Mayane. I would go back for sure, but would not buy half board included.
