The room we booked was not the room we received and we ended up with people having to sleep on the floor. This was an expedia issue, not a hotel issue, the hotel did try to help but they were fully booked so could not provide another room.

Overall a pretty good stay. Staff was nice. Room was very clean. Gym facility has enough equipment but is in desperate need of maintenance and basic up keep. Shower pressure was sad.

The beds were lumpy and one bed squeaked every time you moved on the bed. Also, the pillows were very lumpy and there was no flat sheet on the bed. We stayed in a room with a kitchenette and the flipper had no handle. The amenities were outdated. The staff were very friendly and did what they could to help us. I was annoyed to learn that Expedia charge a resort fee and the hotel didn’t have such a fee. I will not be using Expedia to book hotels in the future.

they don’t stock the bar fridges in Canada so that was not an issue… the Tonquin in has been in Jasper for decades…. it is well-maintained and excellent value. I would definitely stay there again.

Staff was friendly, accommodated our request for a ground floor room with an upgrade as that was a room that was ready and ground floor. Towels were so nice a soft as were the bed linens (very comfortable and good quality) Pool area was amazing and the restaurant had great food.
