We loved our stay at the Houghton, it is safe, quiet and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.

So wonderful! Peaceful! Such beautiful surrounding gardens, gorgeous pool! I loved everyone of staff. Their restaurant has the BEST chefs! We stepped out of our spacious, modern, beautifully decorated room after a free shuttle ride whose driver met us inside the airport! A comfortable 15 minute ride from the airport! After unpacking and stepping out of our room seeing the romantically lit pool we see an open fire in the fireplace outdoors. Had a pre dinner cocktail then stepped into the small patio candle-lit restaurant for the best five course dinner I can remember! Then a comfortable nights sleep and of course an included chef prepared hot breakfast by the pool, under the palm trees. They even let us stay until 7:30 for our 10 pm US bound flight! Astounding! We will for sure come back! You would be crazy NOT to stay here! It seemed so convenient to the airport and yet in a serene beautiful rural like setting!

Try booking any where else before booking here.How this hotel is a 4 star hotel baffles the mind. Disgusting rooms got moved to another room due to how bad the first room was , 2nd one was just as bad, had to get our own cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom and room. Staff stand screaming at each other in the hallways with no regard to any of the people in the rooms, buffet breakfast was cold with some of the items visibly there for a long period of time I Wouldn't serve it to my dog . Had a extractor fan in the bathroom that would not switch off and was making a massive noise to which the maintenence teams solution was sticking toilet paper in it and telling us thats all he can do

Weeks before our trip I chatted with someone online and then proceeded to call the front desk of the property to find out if there was self-laundry (something very important to us since we were coming in the afternoon, after 2 weeks traveling and leaving the next day for a 4 day safari). I checked and double checked and was even given hours that it operated and how to pay for it. We arrived and were told there was no such thing and they couldn’t do it for us before we left. Ended up having the safari hotel do it for us for quite a large cost that we weren’t expecting. We returned to the same hotel for the remainder of our stay and when checkinf in, were told that breakfast was not included even though my reservations clearly showed it. I brought up my reservations in my room and called down to desk. Was told they would check on it and would call back. No call back. Next morning I showed the front desk but the guy disapperead and said he had to check. Our ride was there and so we had to leave. Finally that evening we stopped by the desk and they said oh yes breakfast is included. There was obviously some miscommunication at the front desk.
