Our lanai overlooked the pool and beach. I spent a lot of time out there enjoying the sun, sunset, live music, and my favorite beverages.

Overpriced hotel. Staff are kind and professional but the hotel is setup for near zero room cleaning. They’ll offer a ‘tidy up’ every 2 days only. Location is great which is what you’re paying for, in the heart of Kona and right on the beach. On site parking is really expensive. Gym has been upgraded and is nice. Good pool. Great luau but can attend without staying there.

Beautiful view, but surprising lack of basics
Average stay at beachfront hotel with private cove. Hawaii is gorgeous. The hotel is okay. For the price point I would have expected same day cleaning service, an included breakfast, etc. Maybe it is a function of shipping costs to the island but much of the gym equipment and bathroom functions (at least on our floor) are >10 years old, but at least clean. There are several rental options for recreation on the water included on the premise but you can probably find cheaper options in town, down the road from where the Ironman starts. Overall, the beachfront view is incredible but the actual things not included is pretty surprising compared to the BnB’s we stayed with at other points on the island who each made an effort to provide excellent service which was superior to the hotel.

Liked that safe parking was available but didn’t like the high parking fee. Liked the spacious room with refrigerator. Liked the balcony but didn’t like that when I chose resort view we were given parking lot view. Not enough hooks in the bathroom to place clothes. The carpet smelled moldy in the room and the hallway. Very noisy next door neighbor were talking on their balcony, which can be heard in our room even with balcony door closed! The beds were too high for us—only good for tall people. Awesome location, felt safe. Beautiful view of the beach. Nice exhibits and the boat/canoe display was beautiful. Didn’t like no free breakfast given the high resort fee.

I love this property! The hotel is updated but still feels like old Hawaii. It is not huge so easy to get around. The views are great. All of the meals we had were fabulous. I love that the hotel is walking distance to restaurants and shops. In the hotel a great coffee shop, shaved ice and an ABC store which is so convenient. It was the perfect get away for my husband and I to relax on the beach or nice pool. We will for sure come back.

The hotel looks refurbished and very modern. The glass sliding door kept most noise out. Great Buffett in the mornings and a stones throw to shopping restaurants in Kona town. Great place great price.
