Location was perfect for doing the manta snorkel as you could walk to the meet-up location in minutes. That being said, the self-parking was almost the same distance but was a hassle to navigate to. The pool towel return policy was a bit confusing and even the staff seemed confused. The pool and view from the pool was lovely but we paid for an "ocean view" but instead got a "bay view" as we were on the side of the building rather than actually facing the ocean. That was extremely disappointing.

The Outrigger is an okay property! This is a very family-friendly hotel, there's a water slide at the family pool area. The conveniece** store on site is vv affordable. The self-parking is a bit of a walk away, and check-in is on the 2nd floor from the hotel. No clear signage on where to go when you first arrive. There is free parking at the street before the property.

I upgraded to the club package and I’m so glad I did. The view was amazing, the valet was helpful and the dining club had various new dishes to try. Everyone I interacted with was friendly but they didn’t push into our space every time we left the room. It rained almost the whole visit in mid-May but we come from a desert so we loved it. Pay attention to the weather forecast when you book your trip.

We stayed here for 8 nights while in Hawaii to get married and honeymoon. The OUTRIGGER was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Room was large, had a nice view, grounds were well maintained with trails, beautiful flowers, and two pools. Would not hesitate to stay here again. - hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and accommodated everything we needed. They also treated us very well as newlyweds and made us feel special. Cindy went above and beyond on this. - pool bar was reasonable and Kevin was great - the gift shop was reasonably priced and good service - the PIKO restaurant is another story. The only thing worse than the WAY overpriced, mediocre food was the dismissive, grumpy, hostile staff working there. Eat at the pool bar or go offsite. - be aware that on top of what you’ve already paid and/or the advertised price they are going to charge you $35/day as a “resort fee” plus $30/day for parking plus a variety of taxes. Worked out to about an additional $80/day in unexpected fees on top of the advertised room rates. - overall wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. And aside from restaurant staff, all other staff were just exceptional and above and beyond, and made for a wonderful honeymoon. - while on the island we explored in both directions, and the OUTRIGGER seems perfectly placed to check out all the highlights.

From the very beginning we were allowed to check in early, which was a huge blessing after our journey from Idaho. Staff at the counter was very friendly and accommodating, as was other staff we encountered during our stay. Loved the pool and the slide was a real treat. We had issues regarding the shuttle, not understanding that it went down the coast before heading up the coast, our destination. The trolley had changed it's schedule on Ali'i and never showed up to take us back to the hotel. After quite a long walk we were able to contact the front desk and they arranged for a cab to pick us up, a big help since we were still about 8 miles sway and it was getting late afternoon. The views from our 7th floor room were excellent and we used the onsite restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Very pleased with the Outrigger, two thumbs up!

We loved everything but the cats. (I am allergic to cats.) The chairs outside on the balcony were very uncomfortable too. The view was gorgeous!
