I really enjoyed my stay at Royal Kona Resort. The room had two large floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views, which made every morning feel special. The price was very reasonable, offering great value for money, and the stay was extremely comfortable. The location is excellent — restaurants and attractions are all within walking distance. Overall, it’s a perfect combination of comfort, scenery, and convenience. I stayed in Room 679 and have one small suggestion. The sliding track of the middle window facing the ocean only allows it to move about two-thirds of the way across, so from the bed I could see only about one-third of the full view. It would be wonderful if all the windows could slide fully to the right so that guests can enjoy the entire ocean view.

Nice stay at Royal Kona Resort

Old and outdated but the design and layout is very comfortable . Bey nice pool! Inexpensive food and drinks. They have a Luau. There is a cove that you can swim or relax that is amazing! We will go back!

Property is located on Ali'i Drive which is convenient to shopping and eating locations. One minor issue was that the tv remote did not work and thus had to operate the tv manually. Expedia site said the price you see is the price you pay, however when we checked in there was a resort fee and a daily parking charge. I thought the resort fee was calculated into the price and I don't recall the mentioning of a parking charge only that parking was available.

There are three separate towers. We stayed in the main ali'i tower. The Lagoon tower is currently being renovated with the others expected to follow. Our room with partial ocean view was fine with perhaps the only shortcoming being limited overhead lighting and convenient outlets. The nightly (except Thursday) luau provided undesirable noise for some hours each night, but some travelers might like this faux Hawaiian kitsch. The grounds of the hotel are pleasing with manicured plants and water features. The location right on the beach affords a great view of the waves while dining. Sunsets are excellent.

internet not much communication about the amenties the resort had to offer charged $25 a day for resort fee for 2 water bottles and two mai tais for the whole week stay plus $25 a day parking when some days there was no parking it was nice but the extra charges were not worth it
