This was my first stay in Japan. Minutes away from Dotonbori walking! Convenient to trains, shopping and so much food. Staff was friendly. Spacious bathroom. Also provided storage for luggage after checkout. Great price, better convenience! Would definitely stay again.

Good hotel, well placed if you are looking to be very close to the touristy area. Very close to a train station, tons of services around as well. Bed is comfy, with a firm mattress. Bathroom shower is great, and having access to a public bath is a huge plus. Only caveat is that the hotel is mostly packed with tourists, which brings its own set of issues in the public bath (haven't seen anything outrageous, but definitely a few "no no" in bath etiquettes). Room has thick carpet, which was a bit of an issue for me due to allergies (they do vacuum regularly). Convenience store not even a 30 seconds walk away. For me, it's too close to the super touristy area, so I might think twice next time I book in Kyoto. It may sound picky, but to each their own in terms of what you look for in terms of experience. For the price and everything I listed above, hard to beat. They do not have a laundry facility, but there are two close by. Staff were super helpful, polite, etc

Excellent place to stay, would’ve been five stars except if you are a guest and not on the breakfast included plan with the hotel they don’t allow you into the restaurant area till after 10 AM, I just wanted to use the espresso cappuccino machine that was available to all guests. The tokens for the self serve bar for beer & wine is an excellent idea. Would stay with them again.

Staff was excellent. Room was large by Japanese standard. Complementory Coffee and Saki bar until 2100 hours.

Don't let the messy reception area fool you. This is a great place to stay in Kyoto! Fantastic proprietor, large clean room and comfortable beds. It's a great choice for a budget hotel and gives you everything you need for your stay.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. There is an excellent bakery on the first floor as well as the restaurant. I managed to snag some fried fish tacos and they were delicious (and I’m from Texas). The cocktails served on the 6th floor patio were amazing. There’s a great vibe there.
