I was arriving late and the lady at the reception desk waited for me. Overall very pleasant staff members. Hotel is very nice, location is convinient. A lot of movie stars stayed there when they were filming the Hollywood westerns.

Decent rooms, however a little overpriced for what you get. Especially when they charge you for breakfast on top of room fee for very basic, cheap breakfast selection. Our AC unit was also very noisy. Rooms were clean though, so at least there’s that.

Furniture in rooms was very dated and damaged. The beds however were very comfortable and the room was a good size. Only 1 coffee pod was provided for both caffeinated and decaf even though room was for two. If you go to breakfast too late may not have very good selection of foods and you are charged. Eating places are close or within short drive and very varied. The pool was good size and there is an outdoor fire. Loved the movie star history of the hotel and it really is quite charming.

We had a very pleasant stay in Parry Lodge. It was interesting to learn about all the movie stars who have stayed there and movies made in the area. The staff was welcoming and helpful with info about nearby restaurants. The property is dated but is very well maintained. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and pillow. Parking is easy. Good breakfast, but could have had more variety over the days. Overall, a great stay and we would stay again.

What a find! I had no knowledge of the historical significance when I booked this room! It was a treat to stroll the halls to see the photos from yesteryear and the movies that were shot in the area. I would highly recommend!

I was disappointed, given the amount I was charged by Hotels.com. I was enchanted by the description, but discovered that there are nicer places for the same price I paid. Room was a bare wood floor, and the total impression was of a place that had not seen serious renovation since John Wayne stayed there. Breakfast buffet bar (cost $10) was empty with no one ins itght to refill it.

If you’re here for the movie history, you’ll probably be charmed by the outdated rooms and shabby furniture. Our sheets had stains, the shower pressure was weak, and finding a convenient outlet to charge phones was a struggle. The lodge itself was very nice, breakfast looked robust for people without dietary restrictions, and the staff/housekeeping was wonderful.
