Carpet and tile floors in need of a major cleaning. Bathtub was extremely slippery and looked worn out: ring around the tub and the nonslip things on the bottom were grey. I made the front desk and the maid aware of the tub situation and they did an extra good scrub which helped with the slipperiness but it still looked dirty probably due to age.

We stayed here for one night while we were exploring some historic sites in the area. We were happy from our first greeting at the front desk (I unfortunately do not know the name of the woman, but she was cheerful and helpful throughout our stay). Our room was wonderful. It was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and a sofa bed that made sitting easy. The common areas were comfortable and included a fully stocked bar and a snack bar type restaurant. There was a pool that looked inviting but we didn't have a chance to use it. We did however use the bar. Jessica, the bartender was friendly and crafted our drinks beautifully. The prices were very reasonable as well. The breakfast buffet was nicely done. There was hot food including a touchless pancake maker. There was even an expresso machine. We may not have a reason to come back, but if we ever do have need, we will definitely stay again. We can heartily recommend this hotel. P.S. We only rated location 4 stars as it was in a row of hotels that flanked a virtually deserted mall.

It was extremely hot in Kankakee/Bourbonnais. The hotel room did not have the air on. It took a very long time to cool off. I went and purchased fans to keep cool during the duration of our stay. Housekeeping never came and cleaned. I had to ask staff for toilet paper. Then the toilet overflow and the overnight staff did not bring a plunger like she said she would. We had to clean that up ourselves.

When we arrived the air conditioning was not on. We were on the third floor and it was EXTREMELY HOT. I had to purchase 2 fans to help cool it down. I understand heat rise. Secondly, no one cleaned our room Saturday..nor Sunday. I had to asked staff for toilet paper twice. We extended our stay until Monday and the staff still did not supply towels or toilet paper. We placed our used towels and trash outside of the door. I seen a housekeeper down the hall and she gave a large bag for my trash and was so willing to help. This was a very busy weekend and it was a lot people in the hotel. I still give the front desk staff 10/10

No blackout on window shade. Bar area was really nice, but breakfast needs some work. Room was setup with a sofa but no tv to watch if sitting on sofa. Layout of rooms needs to be updated.
