Soooo breakfast is just a bagel bar, the shower drain didn’t drain properly, there was a mouse in the lobby, and my friends had to leave their rooms because of bed bugs. There was construction outside and a homeless man who would be hanging around the street in the front who I didn’t feel comfortable with. My first time to KC and I wouldn’t want to come back. I don’t think it’s just the hotel, the surrounding area is trashy. However, that being said, the service from the staff is 5-star. Every employee was friendly and courteous. Also, my bed didn’t look like it had bedbugs. I slept very well and it was a quiet room. Would I come back? Probably not, but then again I wasn’t a fan of Kansas City. Even though I like the Chiefs.

Room cleaning was not done due to an internal Covid policy that I was not aware of. I was told cleaning had to be requested. Additionally, I was told the hotel was down one maid. I talked to a guy named Victor who reacted to my frustration with anger and disrespect. Never before have I encountered this level of incompetence and disrespect at a hotel. To make matters worse, there was no hot water for showers, just lukewarm. I'm requesting my money back. Those guys should not be in business.

I was disappointed for the price we paid. First thing is the room smelled like someone had died in there. I mean bad....not just a little smell seriously like someone had died. The other BIG issue is that the secondary lock was broken. We informed the hotel staff of the issues. And we were told we couldn't switch rooms because they wouldn't get paid for it! But hey atleast they let us borrow some febreze to help with the dead body smell. The were the only big issues the hotel was not the cleanest but I have stayed in worse. The good. The bed was amazingly comfy. So there is that.

Air conditioner was incredibly loud, area was not the cleanest, room had a red stain on the wall near the bathroom, light in bathroom did not work, water did not smell remotely clean, homeless person was sleeping in between the enterance and the front door.

Musty crusty..
It smells like musty cigarettes. Every corner of the room has crusty stuff in it and dirty hand prints in the bathroom. The breakfast nook had splatter along the mirrors, and the fruit was covered in dust. Water pressure was terrible because of road work and parking was a joke.

A tried and worn out hotel. Our rooms telephone didn’t work and the television didn’t have a signal. Both were reported within the first few minutes and we were told they would be addressed, neither were during our 5 night stay. The room had not been vacuumed, corn chips, candy wrappers, phone cords and case under or behind the furniture. We asked how often housekeeping would be in the room and were told only by request we requested and got clean towels the second day and that was the last, on our last night I went down to the front desk to ask for towels and was told they didn’t have any bath towels, and given one hand towel, 2 wash cloths, and a bath mat. The evening staff acted like the guests were an intrusion to their phone texting and or game time.

Our first room leaked water from the bathroom sink fixture. Requested move to another room. Upon entering the second room, found a sock lying on the floor. Shower drained very slowly. Removed drain plug to reveal drain almost totally clogged with hair. After being missed by housekeeping our first day, we were told that the hotel does not offer daily housekeeping services. Odd, since there is a sticker on the bathroom mirror stating that they change towels and sheets daily. Breakfast consists of bagels, bread and small apples. Hallway carpets need vacuuming and cleaning. Property overall appears old and worn. Corridors smell

The good: friendly front desk staff, clean white towels and good hot water and water pressure (despite the warnings about the city light rail construction interrupting water supply). The bad: very very dirty room. Walking across the carpet barefoot led to black residue washing off the bottom of my feet in the shower. Stains on the bed sheets. Chairs in the room obviously quite old and stained. Just not being properly cleaned and cared for. Major renovation is apparently planned. Breakfast was bagels and coffee only. But we didn’t eat there given the condition of the room. I wouldn’t stay here again ever - even after the renovation.
