Stayed in the Family Select section for 9 days with my wife, and 2 young daughters, plus my in laws (4 seniors, 2 adults and a baby). Good: - the butler service was great. We had Daniel (who was amazing) and Rogelio, who was also amazing. -junior suite (building 51 is really close to the beach) was well appointed, modern, clean, and stocked. - FS beach is really nice, shallow, plenty of chairs. The La Jarra bar/grill was excellent for lunches by the beach. - restaurant food was all pretty good. Thai was excellent IMO. - tons of activities for the kids!!! The Junior club was impressive - video games, music room, 2 bowling lanes, billiards, foosball and more. - FS pool was really nice, the kids loved it. - checkin wasn’t too bad-plus we changed rooms to a beachside suite and that was quick. -Beachside suite was incredible. It’s huge. I wish we booked the whole trip darting in this multi-room suite. It’s also steps to the beach. BAD - the beds were really hard. I didn’t sleep well. Pillows were ok - you can request feather, memory foam etc. - when we entered the Beach suite, they had cleaned/disinfected it - and the chemical smell was almost unbearable for a full 24hours. We kept the balcony doors open in both rooms to air it out. It was fine day 2. - my wife’s parents both got Norwalk Virus and were in bed for a full day, and took them a few days to feel better. -travel club presentation. STAY AWAY FROM IT!

We got the family selection swim up while it was on sale and we were treated like royalty, everywhere we went! The resort is so beautiful and there are so many things to do! They have all types of different animals on the property like flamingos and monkeys, felt like we were staying in a zoo, which is an extra experience in itself. The kids pool was so big and full of so many activities, its too bad my 2 year old was too scared to go on the slides. We did the full moon dinner which was so beautiful and the food was so good, we had to pay extra for it but we also got a beach cabana for free, it didnt cost any more than an average dinner for 2 in NY and they didnt charge us for the 2 year old, eventhough they were bringing him food too and he loved it as well. There's a seawater pool at one of the other hotels in the resort and that hotel has a buffet restaurant called Helios, which was the only buffet with good food. I wasnt a fan of the food or the cart transportation. The meat seemed overcooked or just dry and waiting for a cart was very time consuming. A different resort i went to had a phone outside of your room where you can call a cart to come to you and it came right away. Having to have to go through our butler wasnt ideal. Otherwise we loved our stay, i definitely recommend the family selection option if its affordable. I can keep going about all the great things at the resort but its a lot!!

Waiting for golf carts was not very convenient. Took 3 days to get face cloths. Issues with arm bands not working. Pool and pool bar closes too early. Inconvenient always needing reservations for the restaurants. Property was clean and semi updated.

The Grand Palladium- Family selection was a slice of Heaven. The family and I went to celebrate Christmas in Mexico and we enjoyed every bit of it. We had a villa with a beach front view. It was very spacious and modern. The kids had their own bathroom- that was a plus. We had our own Jacuzzi on our balcony. The beach was clean and had enough chairs with warm clean towels. The Caribbean Sea did not disappoint- beautiful blue/green water with clean white sand. We went to the beach everyday. We had access to the pools from all 4 Palladium resorts and the restaurants from all 4 resorts. The water park was a big hit with my 12 year old son. The grounds were immaculate and the staff were very attentive, polite and professional. The flamingos put on an amazing show for us. House keeping went above and beyond to make our stay special- we appreciate the little notes and special gifts left under our pillows. This was our first time in Mexico and we will be back and will definitely stay at this resort again. I highly recommend for families with young kids and/or teens.
