o clean towels no cleaning of room
Well where do I start. Firstly the positives ... the waitress at breakfast could not have been more fantastic ! A true breath of fresh air. Well done ! Now the negatives ...my room was not clean for the duration of my stay. Truest shocking. There are those that say why didn’t you mention it ? My point is I shouldn’t have to ! The bed as ok but the pillows are large and square and without doubt the worst I’ve ever had. No fresh towel at all during the stay. The woman on the front desk looked so miserable I thought her cat had been hit by a nuclear bomb. It is realty a shame because the hotel if led by that waitress at breakfast could be magnificent. I’d sack the rest of the staff and put her in charge a diamond in a pile of rocks. Cleaning staff that don’t clean Turkey shocking !

Great for overnight stay in Katowice.
We chose to stay for one night at Hotel Katowice as we flew into Poland late at night. Very quick and easy check in. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Toiletries were provided. Breakfast was nice with lots of choice and staff on hand if you needed anything else. Check out was quick and easy. The hotel kept our luggage while we went and had a look around Katowice which was helpful. Altogether a nice stay in Katowice. The only downside to our stay was that the room upstairs were really noisy so we didn't get a lot of sleep. This was not the hotels fault.. just inconsiderate guests!

My poor review might just be because I hadn't done my homework properly before booking. I had prepaid 3 nights' accommodation at this hotel and ended up checking out within 10 minutes of seeing the room and forfeiting the room fee. I had meant to choose hotels in Poland with air-conditioning, room service and laundry facilities. Hotel Katowice had none of these things. And the twin room I booked had just a single bed. It is in a great location though and the staff were friendly.

Helpful and friendly personnel. Perfect location - no need to take transportation. Beautiful sights, shopping, cafes with tasty and diverse dishes are in a walk reach. The place is clean and quiet.

Short stay.
Very good location, close to Bus and Train Stations. Good connections to other cities. Bit noisy at night - if you get room facing the square. Really good buffet breakfast - much better than in Spain and Italy. (my previous countries visited) Inexpensive tasty dinner at hotel's restaurant. Would stay again.

Don’t waste your time & money staying here
Staff was absolutely awful. First experience, we asked for more towels as room service never serviced our room. Not a big deal, but the two employees at the front desk stared at us blankly and thought we wanted to visit someone in our room. We kept trying to explain we wanted towels. When they finally understood, they acted like we were idiots and offending them for not understanding. Second, at breakfast the staff member asked for our room number. We gave it to her and she kept insisting that wasn’t a room number(?). She bugged us at least four times throughout breakfast. Finally she demanded to see our room key. Once she saw it she stormed off but never asked again. We had paid for breakfast, and knew the right number so don’t know what the issue was. Had two more negative incidences, don’t have enough characters to get into them. The WiFi is absolutely awful. It goes in and out. Wasn’t reliable for a five minute stretch of time. Location was good, and a quick walk from the train station. Room was decently clean, although we would’ve appreciated fresh towels without a fight. Don’t pay for the breakfast, extremely overpriced for what you get. Go enjoy a breakfast at a local cafe. Lots of grocery stores, cafes, and entertainment around the hotel. Our first night there was a lot of music/noise from a room near us. You’d think the hotel would enforce some sort of quiet hour, but we were left awake for hours at 2 am. Luckily it didn’t happen the next night.

A three star hotel that did nothing wrong but did nothing special either. Its big plus was the location which could hardly have been better. Just a two minute stroll to the Market square and another two minutes to the bus and train station

Good location, clean, needs some renovation
The location is very convenient and good, it is next to tram stop Rynek, central area. Reception is 24h. The room and bedsheets were clean, towels and everything provided. Was good to have a bathtub. For me personally the price was too high for the condition of the hotel if it was less would be perfect but not the price it was. But overall if not the higher price was a good stay.
