It was an okay trip. The room was spacious for my family and the beds are confortable. But, the room cleanliness was an issue. There were bugs, specifically a single cockroach was found in the room and a brown recluse spider was also found. There was dust on the pictures and splatters of some unknown substances on the walls. There were sunflower seed shells found through out the room, the carpets were sticky. The staff was friendly, the pools were amazing. We loved that they had a shallow pool for the kids who are not strong swimmers.

Bedding was stained. Hair on the pillow. Run on toilet that would not stop so we shut the supply valve off. Did not use it because of concerns it might overflow so that meant using the restroom in the hotel lobby. It was the weekend and were told there was no maintenance person available to repair. On top of it the breakfast was very poor. Really unfortunate. We will never boil Red Lion again except as a very last resort.

Sub-par

When I checked in the front desk was discussing how bad the cleaning ladies were doing and that they left early and didn’t finish cleaning rooms - not something you want to hear when you’re checking in. The room was somewhat clean, but there were globs of hair everywhere. The shower didn’t seem like it was cleaned at all. The ice machine was out of order and for a hot weekend this is not ideal. The breakfast was ok, but the coffee had grounds in it.

Front desk staff was great, super friendly and helpful. That is the only positive thing about his place. Double queen room on ground floor..disgusting. The carpet had so many stains and filth on it, the lounge chair in the room was also stained and blackened with filth also with a hole in the armrest. Desk chair was all peeling and old. Sat on toilet and looked at all the flecks of grime on the door, doorframe, walls..like old what??Vomit? Food? Dried blood?Other body fluids? I’m not even kidding, this was so gross, i thought i was in a bad movie with rooms that rent by the hour. Also smashed vending machines on second floor.. I’ve stayed at older, outdated, even a little shabby, hotels/motels before and it’s been just that, older, outdated, and you get what you pay for…and this was not even that! I seriously would expect this to go for $50/night or by the hour..maybe monthly for the less fortunate or maybe those in transition. I cant even believe this is an option on booking sites..

I made my reservation on the hotels.com app and paid for it through the app. I showed the clerk at check in that it was pre paid. They asked for a credit card for incidentals. I gave them one. After seeing what wasn’t ready in the room and room damage already done I took pictures. I talked to the clerk and they said that no charges would be made on my card. When I checked out the morning clerk couldn’t get me a receipt printed. So I asked for a written confirmation that I checked out on time and turned in my keys. I had housekeeping come see the issues I had with the room. The clerk wrote me a brief note on a post it note. She wrote what I asked for but included a dollar amount. I asked what that was because the night clerk said I wouldn’t be charged anything. She told me that was the reservation payment. I told her and showed her the pre payment information. She told me that I’d have to talk to Expedia about it. I said why? It’s your mistake. She said no it’s Expedia’s mistake. I sent a message to you on Saturday about it but haven’t received a response. I can’t find a number to call and get a refund for overpayment. And to talk about the issue. My number is (541) 728-1734 call me.

Older building, could use some little fixes with peeling paint, small stuff like that. Breakfast was very limited. Other than that I loved the place, looked great, very historical and impressive for the area, staff was great too.

We went to this hotel with our high school baseball team for state baseball. There were used needles and blood in the students room. This hotel is old and smells awful. I could smell gas in the hallway and was worried all night that there was a gas leak so we slept with the window open. The shower would not give hot water. The bathroom sink would but not the shower. The team was supposed to stay a 2nd night but after finding drugs in their room, we left for another hotel. I am so disappointed in Red Lion.
