Good enough for an overnight stay. A bit tired in decor, eg the trim on the dressing table was loose. The shelf in the wardrobe area needed dusting and there were no hangers.

Clean. Staff lovely. Room was modern and clean. Shower wonderful. Everything we could want from a hotel at the very reasonable price. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that.

This hotel was an easy cheap grab and with no surprise was not the best, lack of water pressure was like being pissed on in the shower, beds separately are comfortable unfortunately we paid for a king and received 2 singles pushed together which left a nice indent in my back, TV very good though, staff are okay checking in witnessing someone being double charged was a bit off putting though

Property was tired and in need of modernisation. When we arrived the bed had hairs and toe nail clippings in, the floor looked like it needed a hoover and dust on bedside cabinets. There was only one staff member who was running between the reception and the bar area.

Bathroom had no plugs for the bath or sink. It had also been poorly cleaned, there was a large fluff ball behind the bathroom door and I was able to draw lines in the dust on the floor.

The hotel did not provide what we booked which was a three person room and refused to put an extra bed in with the double even with proof of our booking requirements Mother and teenagers had to share double bed !! Dreadful service

Somewhat bewildered by the total lack of information in the room! The staff were very friendly and helpful, from check-in to room maintenance and breakfast. The most common phrase they all used was "I am very sorry", meaning that there was really nothing they could do. Finding out meal times and location, getting menus, how to operate the very complicated tv, getting the key card to work again ("it needs to be re-activated after 24 hours"). This was like something out of a television game show. On the second day our tv remote control disappeared, and we had to get another one! Maybe I am being a bit unfair, as the room was clean and comfortable. There was no sink plug, and the tap, when full on splashed everywhere, but the shower worked well, although a bit of it was missing. Hint: you may need a non-slip mat for the shower/bath. Apart from the continual fire alarm waking us up each morning every time somebody at breakfast made some toast ("I am very sorry"), it was, well, adequate. Would we come here again? Hmmm.

Good overnight stopover

Unusually they do not provide shampoo, shower gel etc so bear in mind you must bring your own, ditto coffee; they provided two sachets of coffee but no decaffeinated. A good overnight stop though between the M1, M6 and M40.

Absolutely disgusting hotel. If we weren’t tied for the night we would have been away! Everything close by was booked. 3 rooms we went in to get one partially ok! The bed was the worst bed I think I have ever lay on! The cleanliness was vile. Hairs in bath! The dust was an inch thick! It’s the worst place I have ever had to stay. After checking in there was no way we were going to eat there so we ventured into Kenilworth

Good considering the price

The hotel gets mixed reviews. For my purposes (single traveller, 1 night business trip) it was very good especially for the price. I had a newly refurbished room with king sized bed. The room had plenty of space, and was very clean. Lots of parking on the hotel in a safe area. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I'd say the hotel is being gradually upgraded to a budget, which given the cost of my room is fine for me. There was no chair / desk which is slightly annoying when on a business trip, also strangely no bedside table or similar. Location: it is about 1.5 miles walk into the centre of town. I quite enjoyed this, and got a bus back; the bus stop is right outside hotel, and you get live bus times on the Stagecoach app These were minor issues for me, everything was good and I would stay again if doing the same trip
