The room was clean, the property was nice. We were told to be careful with the drapes.... so we kept the room dark... not ideal. Should be in-room instructions on how to operate the ac and fan.

The Whispering Pines is a great mountain retreat. We were greeted by a colorful neon sign. I love the wood cabin feel of the rooms. The bathroom was extremely large with two sinks, a separate shower, and a separate tub. Our room overlooked the mountains and river, which was gorgeous. We even had a balcony. The staff made sure we had all the information we needed upon check in. The location is extremely convenient—right outside the main center of Kernville. Our only issue was that the bathroom floor was a bit sticky, and our ceiling fans had a lot of dust buildup on them. The pool overlooking the mountains is nice, but if it were heated, that would be better since the water stays cold due to the cold nights.

This is a diamond in the middle of paradise. Quaint, quiet, clean…what more can you ask for. We booked one night and we were not ready to leave. A charming setting. Communication with Juanita was over the top, great skills.

Nous sommes arrivés à l'hôtel à 20h et n’avons pas pu rencontrer une personne à la réception qui fermait à 17h. Les clés étaient dans la chambre à notre arrivée donc parfait. Pas de restaurant aux alentours après 21h donc pas pratique quand on arrive tard. Nous sommes partis avant l'ouverture de la réception à 11h donc nous n'avons pas pu rencontré quelqu'un pour le check out. On a juste déposé les clés dans la boîte à clés. Dommage que nous n'ayons rencontré personne. Il faudrait étendre les horaires d'ouverture de la réception car l'humain est important et là nous n'avons rencontré personne. Le village de Kernville est adorable et nous avons trouvé un bel endroit pour prendre le petit déjeuner. Nous recommandons ce stop avec Lake Isabella à proximité. Une belle découverte.

This Place is nice! Price is great and the quality of rooms are good. Location is great! You have nature a few steps away and can get a good nights rest and sleep in the comfy beds. Wish the doors had screens for the mosquitoes because I really enjoyed leaving door open to hear the river and frogs but that’s not a big deal to knock off stars off the review. Front desk was also on it asking if there was anything that they could do just ask. Definitely recommend this place!
