As we walked out back to get a drink at the Tiki Bar we seen an Iguana! A big orange iguana! We liked it anyway

The Hampton Inn is definitely dated and not as clean as other hotels in the Keys, but you can’t beat the location and the amenities. It has a knockout private beach and is located near John Pennycamp as well as great dining options. The continental breakfast is a big bonus as well. Overall, we would definitely stay again

Assigned room was unsafe and noisy in a construction area with overflowing dumpsters, a forklift and work still going across the hall at 5:00. Room was sloppy and bed did not have a bedskirt. Worn room and furniture. Moved to second room after my complaint. First told there was no other option and I could get my money back which was unacceptable since it was only 3:00 and all guests had not checked in yet. They said they could not change room since I booked with a third party, Travelocity. Finally, after we were settled in, they determined that they could move us. Second room in worn condition. The bottom of the bathroom door was rusted for bottom few inches and sliding door lock did not work. Slimy gross stuff was in holes in the stone tabletop on the nightstand. This is a very overpriced room in a worn facility. It did have a nice beach and pool area.

Pleasant Surprise - A Gem in Key Largo
I was pleasantly surprised by the value received at the Hampton Inn Key Largo Manatee Bay. The location is spectacular. The grounds are well kept. The beach is beautiful and secluded from neighbouring buildings. The outdoor bar was a great, with great service. The pool was also clean, with lots of seating. The hotel rooms show signs of wear and tear and could use some updating. I also found my room to be a bit dark, with not enough lighting. The beach view with patio made up for it!

This hotel is extremely outdated and run down. I have over 35 bites from biting insects on their "beach". The only highlight was the breakfast, which was plentiful and hearty.
