Nice hotel, but not worth resort prices

They bill themselves as a resort, which they are not. Want to use their shuttle? You must sign up 30 minutes in advance. What will you do while you wait? Go back to your room on the other side of the property or go to the poolside bar and sip on a $17 drink? The room was neat and clean, but the light switches were a chore to figure out; they didn't turn on the lights that you thought they would. The windows don't block out the noise of the feral roosters crowing at all hours of the night. Don't get me wrong, this is a decent hotel, but for the price we paid, simply because it is on/in Key West, I would expect something akin to the Waldorf.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The room is small, but the hotel has its perks - nice pool, free WiFi, and included breakfast. They provided towels for pool and beaches. However, there were some issues. The sink was draining very slowly and had some cracks. I reported it to the staff on first day of arrival, and they said someone would come to fix it, but unfortunately, no one showed up. Also, note that parking fees are automatically charged at $10 per day, so be sure to let the staff know if you won't be bringing a car. Despite the issues, my kids had a blast playing in the pool.

Staff is personable and efficient, knowledgeable about local activities. The bed was very comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave was a great option for reheating leftovers. The included continental breakfast and free shuttle to town was an awesome convenience feature!
